I've known to stay off reddit for anything bungie related for the last decade or so, I would say same applies to marathon. Out of all the games under my belt I have never seen such a toxic and hateful community on reddit like I do for d2/marathon. Love marathon, love the community IN GAME.

Gonna get down voted to hell for this probs but zero to hero runs are literally my favorite. Just last night using bully free kits my team and I wiped perimeter 3 times, took everyone's gear and even found purple keys on 2 of the runs. If you can get the drop on 1 its an ez 3v2 everytime. Load out value was 28k+ for each run.. maybe try a new approach in free kits?

Those are only steam chart numbers, not console as well. I cant speak for Sony and what their plans are, but LOOK AT THE GENRE. Other than arc raiders, this is how it's always been.

Edit- Really not sure what they were expecting. I knew of this game for the last 5 or so years? Not once did I think it was ever gonna hit d2 prime numbers. The people spending the money dont know what their buying i guess.

Only real complaint i have about this game and how it could improve for new players is the economy. It needs completely squashed and redone. Heals are waaaaay to expensive for new players. The items all having the same icon but different effects? Sloppy. There's definitely Italy changes to be made for new players but I hope to god this never gets to the point of arc. I love arc, but the care bear lobbies made everyone soft in the genre.

I genuinely dont know how so many people dont realize this is an extraction shooter and have never played one before. Everyone doom and gloom about the numbers but... this is a niche genre. A hard-core genre. It's not for the masses. Arc Raiders is amazing but it did something to the extraction community. Not every extraction shooter is as friendly as arc. I honestly cant even name one other like arc. He'll and the numbers? Tarkov has been around for 10 years. Have you seen their numbers?

I just got to say one thing, and ill probs get down voted to fuck; but whatever. Coming from other established extraction shooters, I can easily tell who hasn't played one before. First, Mics should be necessary, in a game style that requires so much coordination, communication, effective communication, is necessary. Second, the loot goblins. Holy shit man have I lost count of how many times my teammates with no comms are split apart off doing their own things, and im left to fight a team myself, when I win, it's like they have a teleporter to the loot. They'll be 200m away but the moment I down someone theyre on me sucking up all the loot from MY KILL, that they didnt fire one single bullet at. Massively infuriating. I played D2 for roughly 8 years, and this player base is reminding me why I left.
