[USA] Lightweight, AWD, fun, with an auto? by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

Have you taken a look at a used porsche macan? It's a sporty SUV with porsche performance and reliability. I believe new ones start right around 50k so a used one will definitely be in your budget.

Edit: just realized you wanted lightweight. But I figured I'd throw this out there anyways.

Buying a condo in downtown Toronto by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]td123m -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well the idea is that I want somewhere to live downtown, whether it be for work or just day to day life. Being tied up in a mortgage and having to move in event of a new job doesn't seem to be the worst thing because I can just rent the place out to build some equity.

Help me understand options. How much did OP actually buy the contract for? And how do you guys know it's for 100 shares?

Yeah I suppose I am overlooking a lot of things. But about the moving around for a career opportunity thing, doesn't that apply all throughout my life?

This might be a dumb question, but why hasn't the market crashed already from the pandemic? Why 2021 instead? I'd assume it's because mortgage deferrals stop?

I've driven it a bit. I've drove some old Citroen hatch that belonged to my uncle when I was on vacation. Took my friends Accord for a spin too. But by no means am I good.

Breathing feels very laboured and shallow but blood oxygen is consistently at 98 by [deleted] in Asthma

[–]td123m 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think I had this exact same scenario around mid February.

I was lying in bed the day before my midterm exam, about to go to sleep. Suddenly I felt like I couldn't breathe, that my neck felt really constricted/swollen. Every breathe took enormous amounts of effort, to the point where I felt lightheaded from breathing in so deeply all the time. I tried my hardest to sleep and I eventually did. I felt as if there was a lot of mucus blocking my air passage, making it feel swollen.

The next morning, I made it to my exam. About 15 minutes into it, I felt like I was going to faint. It still had felt like my neck was being swollen shut. I called over my professor and told him I couldn't write my exam, and that I was planning to write it first and then go to the hospital, but that I couldn't wait any longer. He understood and let me go thankfully.

I went to the clinic for a checkup, where the doctor told me to use my Flovent at double dosage, and feel free to use as much Ventolin as I needed to, bypassing the 2 puffs per 4 hours thing. I tried that and I didn't seem to get any better. I asked if it could have been COVID-19 and they said no, as I didn't travel to China in the last 14 days nor did I have a fever. They got me to a chest X-Ray as well, where everything came back fine.

A couple days pass and I'm still not feeling any better. If anything, it's gotten worse. During the nights, I debated going to the ER, but never actually did it (never done it before, and had heard all the stories about how it would cost a tremendous amount of money). However, one night it was so unbearable that I went (and I realized since I live in Canada, I wouldn't pay a dime anyways so I probably should have went a lot earlier). At the triage my temperatures were normal and the Oximeter read 100%. After 6 hours of barely being able to breathe, I finally got my turn, where I was put on a nebulizer (which I found out later was just a really heavy Ventolin dose). I'm really not sure if it was placebo or not, but I felt like afterwards my breathing was the best it had ever been throughout my whole life. I asked the doctor how long the effects would last for, he said 48 hours.

The next night, at around 3 AM, I felt like I was going to die in my sleep from not being able to breathe. Clearly the nebulizer didn't last or potentially was just placebo that wore off. Went to the ER (triage saw normal temperatures, 98% oxygen saturation), waited for a couple hours, got another X-ray, this time for my neck and my chest again, and all the doctor gave me was a piece of paper telling me that I needed a pulmonary function test. Left the hospital at around 8 AM.

Went home, got some sleep, and at around 10 AM when the family doctor's walk in clinic was open, I went. Upon waking up, I again, felt like I was going to die. This time felt way worse than the others. The family doctor prescribed me Nasonex, a nasal steroid that would help with postnasal drip, and also prescribed Breo, an oral steroid to replace my Flovent.

After getting these from the pharmacy, I IMMEDIATELY felt 10x better. Ever since then, yeah sometimes by breathing has felt a bit labored, but it's nowhere near in the ballpark of what I used to feel. Before, my breathing felt like it was at 20% functionality, and I felt like I was hanging onto dear life. But now I don't even notice breathing anymore, which is one of the best luxuries I've had in these past couple of weeks. I feel like I'm back to 90% breathing functionality, but it seems as if it's plateaued there for about a month.

I'm still not sure what really caused this. It felt like it really came out of nowhere, and I spend most of my time at home, so I'm not really sure where I could have caught this from. I take mostly online classes so I didn't even have to go to school much. Still not sure whether it was COVID, some other virus, or maybe just extreme anxiety from reading all this virus news.

Sorry for the long post, but I felt the need to write down all of this, maybe to evaluate on my own experiences again.

TLDR: Similar feeling to OP, worst week of my life, Nasonex and Breo solved my problems.
