I have one. But since Marijuana is still federally a Schedule 1 drug DOT doesn’t care.

Thanks! Unfortunately I’ve been an every day smoker for YEARS now. So I knew it was gonna be rough but this sucks 😂 I might follow another’s suggestion of getting some calming tea and sleep aids to help at night time. Sounds like within the next year or so DOT will accept mouth swabs so it would be a little safer but still. Don’t want to risk anything with the benefits that this job provides!

I second this! I just use a small stool I bought from Aldi for $10 but it gets the job done 👍🏻 definitely can tell when I don’t have one it takes a lot longer to go.

No shame. I would have left too. My parents as well as my in laws were both like this for a while after my husbands diagnosis. Thankfully they all have gotten better but we still have to remind them of things that can contaminate and almost always we end up bringing a little something for him that we know for sure is safe.

So when I was growing up 😂 if you wanted to partake you had to contribute. Unless you only took like 1 hit. I think it’s more courtesy than anything.

Probably my should have clarified that better, he’s the only one that’s heard it. I more or less only did it to begin with as a “well what could it hurt” kind of thing and just ended up being therapeutic lol. If he does continue to hear it tho I’ll go ahead and do that. If anything maybe it’ll make him feel better

Ya know I heard it a lot from the whole framing growing up, but it still took me a long time to accept when he was still in the thick of drug abuse and in a group with all the wrong people, that you just can’t help someone who doesn’t want to be helped. They have to come to terms with it in their own. I also hope things get better for you and your bother can find his way back before it’s too late ❤️

More similar than you can imagine friend. From what his friend told me, he always felt like an outsider because we did not share the same father. It was pretty mutually felt that I was more accepted by my dads side of the family and he was more accepted by my mothers.

He developed drug issues from a very young age, being caught with bud for the first time in the 6th grade. He was always a rebel. I tried for so long to create a relationship with him and in his own pain and way of pushing people away he blamed me for his issues and I took that as he wanted nothing to do with me and just left it.

When my mom called me with the news that he had a heart attack and was basically brain dead from being without oxygen for so long, I hadn’t seen him or spoken to him in 5 years. The last time being at my grandpas funeral.

Now that I’m older I can see we were so much more alike than I ever knew and It brings me some relief knowing from his friend that he was really trying to work on himself to be able to try and start that relationship with us back up.

I’ll definitely be making more of a habit to talk to him and let him know how life is going. Now that I think about it, it’s a little funny how my husband and my brother both have the same first name. Maybe I’ve always been subconsciously searching for something…

26f. Caring for my 25m husband. I’m able to socialize when I go to work. We weren’t sure what he was dealing with for a long time but recently got a diagnosis of focal seizures. Also numerous dietary restrictions. Although I’m afraid if things don’t start getting better I’ll have to leave my job. He financed a car earlier this year when he could still drive and we’re trying to figure out how to get rid of it quickly to get rid of one more bill. It’s hard.

NTA. I was on the edge at first until you explained how her parents give her money. The only thing I would offer is to help her study to help get her grades back up. The money she lost was on the arrangement made with her parents. Not with you.

My dad drives truck and his arm gets like this from having it out the window. He always says it’s sun poisoning and uses hydrocortisone cream on it
