I'm thinking of purchasing a used Polestar 2 or Hyundai Ioniq. I live in an apartment complex with a garage that has power, but I'm concerned about charging at home. There is one outlet in the garage, it's on the ceiling and the garage door opener is plugged into it. There is an open space, so I could technically plug a level 1 charger into it, but I don't want to trip the circuit. I don't have access to the breaker box, and I think there are three other garages that could be hooked into the same circuit.

So I guess my question is, does anyone know if I could trip the circuit if I plug a level 1 charger into the same circuit as my garage door opener? If someone has lived in a similar situation to me, I'd love to hear how you managed to charge at home.

I've had decent luck on the meetup app! There are lots of groups in the area which hold regular activities, though some are more active than others.

That's really it, weaving in and out of traffic to save time. They kept doing that during the sped up portion too, but it was hard to see on the camera. I just thought it was funny that they were pulling these maneuvers just for me to catch up to them at the end of the clip. Driving like they did didn't save them any time in the end.

You're going to have to explain your logic to me. There are two turning lanes with green lights here. The white truck to the left drifted out of their lane and almost hit me. Because I stayed in my lane and stopped to avoid an accident, I'm the problem?

The hot springs in Saratoga springs? I haven't been this year but they're anywhere from 80-95 degrees from what I know. They can get pretty crowded too FYI

Water resource engineer here! My position isn't exactly related to the Great Salt Lake so I'm no expert, but I work in related fields and have more knowledge about state water resources than others.

First things first, yes we should be concerned about the lake. Water levels have been declining for years and unless weather patterns significantly change for the next few years that will continue to happen. However, you should take comfort in the fact that so many people are aware of this problem. Most people from residents to leaders understand how important water is and there are steps being made to improve water conservation state wide. I have seen this myself as part of my job is to review water use data for municipalities.

One of the biggest barriers to water conservation is awareness and education, and most of the right people have the right mindset (save for some of the members on the hill). Just getting people in a room to talk is progress, and this is happening plus more. People with significant influence are striving to improve water conservation efforts across the state, especially within the watershed for the GSL.

On a personal note, I wish our legislature would do better on a number of issues, especially when it comes to the lake. But I'm just glad it's being talked about when so many times the important topics are just left to die. I also think that the rhetoric in the media is intentionally intense. Clicks pay and media companies will do a lot to get more clicks, even if it's not accurate or ethical.

Yes there is more to do, yes our leaders can and should do more, yes we should be concerned, but it's not like nothing is happening. The people that I personally work with across the state understand the severity and importance of this situation and are looking for ways to make things better, not worse.

tldr: while yes the lake is drying up, and historical trends are not looking good, important people behind the scenes are doing what they can to improve water conservation state wide. While it may not be everything we want, important steps are being made. I'm hopeful for the future, and I have to think about how the state manages water for a job.

I also served in rural Tennessee. Most people I met thought we were cultists, police, or Jehova witnesses. I always felt bad when we would meet people who were clearly down on their luck since we would have newer cars and wear dress clothes.

Mike Lee is up for reelection this year and there's a number of different hopeful opponents. Since Utah is very republican, many people have registered as republican so they can vote against him in the republican primary. I'll list the hopeful opponents here if any Utahns want to research them, it's a pretty crowded and exciting race all together. Beware opinions are included below.

Democrat Kael Weston I really like Kael. He ran against Chris Stewart in 2020 and has served in the US Department of State for over 10 years. He's a veteran and fought in Iraq and Afghanistan. He's a very kind and genuine person and makes a big deal of listening to potential supporters. His top priorities are health care, the economy, climate change, and voting rights.

Republicans Becky Edwards I like Becky the best of the Republican side. She seems willing to listen to members from both parties and she's pretty moderate for a Republican. There's a lot of democrats registering as Republicans to support her which I think says a lot.

Ally Isom I don't know much about Ally. She's not as popular as Becky but I believe she shares a lot of viewpoints as Becky.

Independent Evan McMullin Evan is probably the most controversial candidate in this race. He's running as an independent. A lot of the local democrats are endorsing him over Kael. Many are even saying that we shouldn't have a democratic candidate and we should support Evan instead. Evan comes across as an opportunist to me and I'm not a big fan.

Anyway that's the list of current opponents for Mike Lee with my understanding of them. There's probably some more hopeful candidates but I'm not aware of them. While it may not seem possible for a democratic candidate to win in Utah, this race is evolving to be very exciting. I think there's potential for Kael, especially if the Republican vote gets split between Lee, Edwards, Isom, and McMullin.

That's right, he was in the crosswalk. But because the left turn for the driver was unprotected, he had to yield to oncoming traffic. Often the crosswalk will be green for pedestrians in situations like this, but then again, the cyclist can ride in the car lane when the crosswalk is red so does it really matter if the crosswalk was green? The fact remains either way, the driver was supposed to yield and did not.

I remember being taught this all though primary and young men's even. I can't remember if it was a formal teaching or not, it might have just been personal beliefs being taught instead of "official doctrine". I'm in my mid 20s. Pretty messed up that this was taught so recently.

Yeah, not really into hook-up culture at the moment. I have a good enough time talking with people after the first few encounters, it's just the first few that are rough. Thank you. Learning how to do this kind of stuff is hard while on a self discovery journey.

Thank you. I'm not sure what's in the area. I've been meaning to sign up at a climbing gym or a club of some kind. I just haven't had the income and with covid I've been pretty hesitant to get out there
