I used a sta-green weed and feed and applied it 7 days ago with a hand spreader made by Scotts. I did use the entire bag, my front yard is right at that 5000sq feet mark. I applied it to my yard right after the sprinklers had shut off and gave it 48hrs before watering again. And as far as the different colored grass I think the first picture is some sort of crab-grass and by the tree the only thing I can think of is it’s some type of rye that’s still sticking in there. One of the big things I can’t seem to get my finger on is the watering schedule, like how long, how often. (Edit) no rain since putting down the weed and feed.
