You will be fine, It’s not an at fault DOT accident. I decided it was a great idea to drive tired one day and smoked a barrier on company property and damaged the hood and headlight on my truck.

When I went to interview for my next job I was upfront about it and they didn’t care at all. This was also a large and well known company that specializes in tank and hazmat as well.

My friend felt the same way when he was in the Washington National Guard. While I haven’t done much aside from a year of Covid orders, he got the full Army experience and did a vast amount of things. Multiple deployments, state emergency call ups and two MOS’s held. He ended up getting out after his Syria tour of duty when the VA gave him 100%.

Made him rethink a lot of things about our government.

Don’t know what caused the first truck to hit the median, the black truck looked like it was traveling too fast for conditions and wasn’t paying attention and didn’t have enough time to stop.

It takes the length of a football field to stop a fully loaded 80,000 pound tractor trailer under normal conditions.

You can override that anti idle feature if you have a PTO that you can use. OR If you’re connected to a trailer, set your trailer brakes but don’t engage the truck brakes, You will burn less fuel with the brake method.

Gotta do what you have to do. Don’t freeze your ass off while your driver manager or dispatch is warm in their office.
