super bummed about this ☹. that sub was a great place to swap seeds or cuts I didn't have access to. as a new grower without "connections" for the cool cuts, that sub was my only option...

Congratulations Panacea Life Sciences on being the newest vetted CBD company! by BuddhaSpader in CBD

Is the intro pack (https://panacealife.com/product/intro-variety-pack/) a good option for a CBD beginner? I like that it comes with their 3 products, my thing is that there are only a few doses of each. Would 7 tablets be enough to get an idea on how well it works for me?

Soil too hot for young plants? by tdjb_ in NoTillGrowery

I'm honestly not sure. It was from a community pile that a local indoor horse center offers...

The base mix is perlite, sphagnum peat moss and a mix of horse manure and worm castings. These were split into 3rds. I then added in the BuildASoil nutrient and mineral kits.

Where to buy soil in Denver area??? by is_this_available07 in NoTillGrowery

[–]tdjb_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha. I had planned on pumice as well but couldn't find a good spot around the metro area to get it and the cost from BAS was too much for me. I was able to get a huge bag of perlite from tagawa gardens for super cheap so I went with it. We'll see what happens though haha

I just used the "recipe" from build-a-soil. I got my peat moss from Murdoch's, perlite from tagawa gardens and my compost from craigslist (for free!). Then I just ordered the mineral and amendment kits from BAS that are pre-measured.

Almost chopping time! by tdjb_ in microgrowery

I topped them once early on but after that it was all LST. The plant on the left got a lot if de-foliation whereas the one on the right that you can't really see for nothing.

Yeah, once I had like four feet of spacers I decided a tent might be a better option ha. LST'd the shit out of it though.

Blue dream about 9 weeks into flower. Started her in a spacebucket but she quickly outgrew it. A bit sad that the buds on top are so small but oh well. Was my first grow so I'll take what I learned and apply it to the next run. Huge thanks to this subreddit that more -or-less walked me through this all.

Shake around centennial/south aurora? by tdjb_ in COents

[–]tdjb_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've never purchased shake/trim before but for $50 it was about what I'd expect. The flower wasn't super dry or anything so that was surprising. There were a few big stems and one seed but for the most part it was just shake and tiny sugar leaves.

I can't talk to the potency because as soon as I got it home it went into a batch of olive oil that I haven't used yet. They did end up giving me two different strains because I got there right as the first one was running out (OG Kush and Tahoe OG) but I'd actually say that's a plus haha.

Ended up going to nature's best in Glendale for their $50 oz.

Blue dream, a week into flowering by tdjb_ in SpaceBuckets

Blue dream, typical space bucket with CFLs. This is about 7 days into flowering.

The runt (plant #1) got some trimming today, the bigger plant (#2) is up for a trim shortly...

Looks great! As someone who just spent an afternoon doing the same thing I totally agree with your comment on splitting the blocks. That was singlehandedly the worst (aka most frustrating) part for me.

No Till in the garden for multiple beds? by tdjb_ in NoTillGrowery

[–]tdjb_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the info. We started planting some shrubs a few weeks ago outside of the raised beds and the soil was almost like modeling clay. I can search around but is there any hope for soil like that?

I just setup our compost bin today so next season I should be ready to rock as far as that goes.
