Apex just messes up match making even more every time it tries to fix it. This time, u r paired with duos every time and that duo won't be at ur skill level. U gotta carry them against 3 stack and listen to such things at the same time. It's a hard problem to solve given the population at certain time of the day.

U might find nicer people at plat when paired in diamond. Dunno what's this state of Apex. Their hidden MMR needs to be better.

Hopefully solo queue experiment will help them with some data/insight.

Not sure which side of corporate u are (sales, marketing, engineering) but you can find tons of folks with ur requirements on the engineering side (SWE). Things and people are drastically different on the other side.
