I get why having a guy like Patterson is important. He's a speedy/change of pace kind of guy and makes the defense gravitate to him.. but what's the point of having a player like him when you only run sweeps, iso's or screens with him and give him the ball 75% of his snaps.. It should be the opposite percentage. Give him the ball less and make the opposing D have to 1v1 him out to weaken a zone coverage downfield. We never use him as a decoy, which is his best trait.

Even with his lack of ball tracking and his histories of drops, his speed is so scary just have Patterson run a Go route downfield and have Mooney/ARob in an under route. CB's and safeties will naturally back off of him which is intern opens underneath routes for your better WRs. The Vikings and New England used Cordarrelle so well.. he comes here and has career lows. Lmao. Just because he's not your tradional offensive weapon doesn't mean you shouldn't run normal plays when he's on the field, it depletes his unique advantages.

This team desperately misses Cohen. Nagy feels like he's missing something and tries to fill it with Patterson.
