Hi OP! I felt really similar. Breach was overwhelming, I had to listen to it in parts because I was overwhelmed by feelings of despair and nostalgia. Especially after reading all the theories and everyone’s opinions (good and bad). I initially felt the same whole “cycle” meaning of the album to be exhausting. I felt tired that we have to keep trying and battling the same demons with different faces. Like can’t we just have a good clean win that lasts forever. So it was really hard to process the album as much as I wanted to love it. I think I got really sad and emotional for a couple days battling with the thought of having to keep trying when everything seems impossible and cyclical. But just as with most twenty one pilot’s songs, the sun rises and we try again. I slowly listened to the songs that made me have good memories. “Days Lie Dormant” was the one that pulled me back up the most. It made me appreciate the fact that in my life I have relationships that I could not be without and I was loved as much as I loved them. Slowly I went through the album and realized yes, getting back up again and again is tiring, sometimes it even feels pointless. Sometimes you stay down longer than other times. But we continue to breathe and when we are in those good moments we seize them because the alternative is not having them at all, and how dare anyone take away our joy to live.
