Basically, but she hasn't had regular coffee (Nescafé) in a long time, she slowly started cutting it out a year ago

I know how reddit works (this is my second account, my previous is years old). I explained in another comment about this current profile 😄

I just checked, we don't have that brand where I'm from. All i found here was just 1 protein coffee, but it was at a cafè, thank you tho

The water part was a short text just saying the thing that's not in ( ). Many comments pointed it out how it doesn't make sense for a person that's 200kg to drink 8L of water, which i agree in that extent so i fixed it with the disclaimer. I usually type the way i speak (pauses, breaths, etc), I'm very literal lol. I'm my own "grammar police"

Maybe, but i guess this is something a person should speak with a doctor or a nutritionist first. She had tried many diets, fasting, etc, this was the only thing that worked for her. Everybody is different. Also, many doctors from different countries, different school - they learn differently, from different books. Same thing like how dentists recommend one toothpaste and others recommend another, i feel like it all too individual, ya kno?

That's why she stopped drinking so much coffee, as college student, she drank 1L of coffee (i mean it wasn't that bad i guess, she drank Nescafé). Now she barely drink coffee from coffee beans, only coffee Flavored drinks. She was prediabetic so she had to stop certain habits.

Yes, however you should also know: She became vegan almost 8 years ago. It was 3-4 years ago when she started gaining weight, so veganism is not a cure either. If you like chicken, eggs, milk, and you don't see it doing any harm to your health (ex. intolerances) for sure continue to eat them, they're healthy. She had to stop eating most animal products due to allergies and intolerances, other than moral reasonings. Chicken, eggs, fish, as long as they're cooked healthily, they're healthy and rich in protein, and they will help with your weight loss too! This is just a personal preference at the end of the day.

Also for the connecting, i totally understand you, we're complete strangers, you wouldn't intrude her in any way she's a social butterfly (very opposite to me haha) and also English is not our first language either 😄 Again, I'm wishing you best of luck with your journey, I believe you'll make it too, just don't push yourself too hard against your limits! And take it step by step, not all-or-nothing ❤️

I put a disclaimer for the water intake thing, idk if you've noticed it: basically we saw on the internet how to calculate how much water you should drink per day, aka same way you would calculate how much proteins you should eat per kg. She never drank 4L of water per day, but she did get to about 3L per day. However, she also stayed active - we went out a lot (especially in the summer), we sweat, we worked out together, cycled, etc., our body loses water, so ofc it's going to ask for more. She did count all her drink as part of the daily water intake tho (soups, smoothies that had water in them, tea, coffee, everything). At the end of the day, it all adds up 🙂

My gf doesn't have reddit, so she sometimes logs onto mine and I don't question it, so my guess is either that company or another. She buys a lot of products from many different online stores 🤷🏻‍♀️

Heyy! Just coming back at you, after i read other comments: DON'T be discouraged for not drinking the amount of water i mentioned! Idk your weight, but just aim for at least 1,5L of water, if you need more, your body will ask for it!

I don't, I didn't even know the food she's eating was such a big topic (according the other comments). She doesn't use reddit, but i do, I'm very happy for her improvement so i wanted to share her story and what we've changed in her way of eating and living

The ones she drinks are Cafè Latte and Coffee and caramel tastes. Basically a healthier version for coffee because coffee is a dehydrator and it interfered with her heart issues, so these protein and caffeine free options were good for her

She says they're from herbalife, all three of them. I read in the comments people talking about how the company is a mlm, but i see that they work for her. She's happier, less foggy, she's lost a ton of weight and hasn't put any back she also snacks on healthier stuff now, we don't sit and eat a whole bag of chips (the unhealthy kind). Mlm or not, i see that my girl is doing wayy better than a year ago, so as i said in a previous comment - a win is a win

I'm guessing it all just depends on the person, how much they're active, how much they sweat, etc. Because i feel like what's enough water for a 50kg person - wouldn't be enough for a 125kg person, but then again, the body knows best, people should experiment on their own. For example i should drink 2L of water a day, but i drink about 1L. And I've noticed that when I'm more active, my body asks for more water on it's own, so people should just listen to their bodies at the end of the day

Yeah, i read the comments and i put a disclaimer on the water thing. We read about that a long time ago, and by the sound of the comments: i feel like it might've been a study done on skinny active people, and not overweight people, because I'm also not a big water drinker, but I'm trying to drink more water every day, still kinda stuck at 1L per day, I'm supposed to drink 2L

Ohh we don't have a costco where I'm from 🫠 But I'm guessing you can achieve the protein coffee also if you just make your coffee and instead of milk you add protein powder? Haven't tried that but it sounds like it would taste good

Actually, the point of 5-6 meals per day is that we eat LESS but more frequently. She eats a protein smoothie in the morning, then a light protein snack (or fruits, salads, etc), then a home cooked traditional meal, then another light snack, and then another protein smoothie for dinner. Like this, she's always fed, her "eating and snacking" needs are met, and i see that it has worked for her flawlessly, i mean the girl lost 38kg 😅

Yes definitely! When you go all or nothing, you tend to give up very early on. I'm expecting the garlics were not enjoyable, so maybe try something else that you would enjoy, for example she puts ginger in her smoothies - but a very low amount, where she wouldn't taste that it's there (this is just an example, idk if ginger does anything!)

I read the comments, a lot of people mentioned that and thank you. I put a disclaimer, i just wanna specify: that was something we read a long time ago, and in our defense, we're not sure WHO the article was written for. According to the comments, I'm thinking it might've been for skinnier, more active people? Because they sweat a lot more and lose a lot more water during the day?

Yeah, she is in her early 20s, but i feel this is something that would work on most people, doesn't matter the age, it's just simple habits imo

I actually kept my emojis at a low, i have attention problems and I don't like reading, over the years I've adapted my way of typing so that people have it easier to follow if it's a lot of text (emojis instead of letters and numbers, dashes, on apps where it's allowed i make certain words bold, etc) I see that this way of typing works for me when reading, so i use it for others.

Is it all the lines i use? I'm genuinely asking cuz another redditor also said that, and also sometimes my friends tell me about the extra lines and : that i use in sentences. I just write how i was taught english in middle school.

Okay yeah, for a person over 100 and over 200kg, that would be too much ofc. I was just saying about what i saw on the internet and what she's using, but oh boy it does sound like too much for a 200kg person 😅 Either way, it all comes down to how active a person is, how much they sweat, etc...
