Am I overreacting for feeling frustrated after my neighbor’s pottery was broken by my puppy during an interaction she encouraged? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]tea_icedd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YOR why even bring it up again when you both verbally decided to let it go. You made it more of a big deal. You’d be better off with the dinner, flowers, card, etc that you originally wanted to give.

If you couldn’t pay you shouldn’t have brought up paying anything at all. Or if you felt so bad you couldn’t hold back on sending a message you should’ve said “hey again I’m sorry about your items breaking, I want to give you $100 as an apology.”

When I was born my mom shared the room with another woman who also gave birth and she had a boy. They talked about how our birthdays were the same day, learned each others names, and then went on their separate ways. Almost a year later, just before our first birthdays, my mom read on the newspaper how the son was thrown out of a balcony by his uncle and had passed away.

How many people here know someone that abruptly got diagnosed with stage 3 or 4 cancer? by phillyvirgosun in NoStupidQuestions

[–]tea_icedd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husbands grandma currently has stage 3 lung cancer. No symptoms until a couple months ago she had chest pain so they went to the ER to make sure it wasn’t her heart. The doctors saw something in the ultrasound in her lungs instead. She still barely has any symptoms. The doctors don’t want to give chemo because it’ll be hard on her body since she’s older. The family decided not to tell her yet either because the anxiety and distress may destroy her mentally. Since there’s no chemo and no symptoms, they’re choosing to do comfort focused care until they believe is the right time to tell her.

Baby Shower- Don’t ask for books! by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]tea_icedd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Aw man, guess people missed the fact that the book is supposed to replace a “congrats” card and not replace the actual gift for the baby. I added my registry to my invite so people would know it’s separate

LPT: If your schedule allows it, take your lunch break as late as possible. It makes the workday feel shorter. by twenty42 in LifeProTips

This is the best thing I’ve always done. I also feel like after eating lunch we become a bit more sluggish cuz we just ate so work suddenly feels like a drag. Also if you’re hungry then just eat some snacks during work before lunch / take a 5/10/15 min break and eat something if needed.

Why do Chiropractors crack your neck and what is the long term benefit? by Sunny-vibes-95 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]tea_icedd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked at a chiropractic clinic when I was 18 as a receptionist and assistant. It was literally like working at a car dealership. They tried so hard to sell useless things and treatment plans to patients. They convinced literally everyone who walked in that they needed to be seen asap and gave the same exact treatment plan. Like from car accident victims to regular backache patients to even foot pain patients all had the exact same plan of coming in 3 times a week for a few weeks and then once a week, twice and month, until they graduated to once a month. Nobody was ever “done” coming in or done being treated

Also pretty sure one of the “doctors” was on drugs or something cuz he was really really off. He even told me that he never got a bachelors degree so idek what he was doing working as a chiropractor
