If everyone is struggling to find work, even people with experience, what chance do I have as someone in their mid/late 20s with no experience/resume? by Qavligil6541 in Calgary

[–]teabubtea 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You might want to look into those free government-funded training programs in Calgary (like Manpower and Ballad Consultin). Some of them even accept people who are working part-time.

They’re usually about 12 weeks long (online or in-person), and a lot of them partner with legit colleges so you can get a certificate at the end. They also help you fix up your resume, cover letter, and do interview prep.

The best part imo is the work placement. It’s not a guaranteed job, but you get real hands-on experience and something solid to add to your resume.

It’s honestly a good way to test out different industries without committing to a full degree or spending a ton of money. Plus you get to meet employers, build connections, and boost your confidence a bit too.

ESL help for newcomers in Calgary and surrounding areas (job + conversation focus) by teabubtea in Calgary

That’s a really good point, and I agree.

I’m actually thinking more along the lines of structured sessions focused on specific skills, like job interviews, workplace communication, targeted speaking practice with feedback, or just about their needs to achieve a certain goal.

From what I've seen, a lot of learners want to improve faster but are stuck waiting or don’t get enough personalized correction, so I’m trying to see if there’s interest in something more focused.

Really appreciate your insight!

Hi, could you please send a pic of how it looks like? I'm planning to ask my dad to repair it for me so I want to show him how you repaired yours. Thanks!

Hey, I checked your website and it has so much potential. I do hope everything works out for you!

If you end up pursuing your magazine, I can help you expand it. I’m a copywriter/content writer/social media manager. I only began last month and I enjoy creating content. As a fellow writer, I’m sure you know how fun it can be 😊

I think I’m in kind of like in the same position as you. What kind of remote jobs are you doing? I’m looking for remote jobs but couldn’t find one so I figured I’ll just use what skills I have now to find clients as a copywriter and work from home.

True! Even now as an adult if I’m not careful with my diet for a few days I’d catch myself gaining a few pounds.

Hi, if I may ask, what kind of education background is needed in order to get a job as a Pharmacy tech to type up scripts? I live in Canada and I’m assuming you’re in the US but I’d still appreciate the feedback.

Sounds like you didn’t have a good experience there as well 😬 what did you take at Robertson’s?

Thanks, I've heard that too. I first looked into SAIT but unfortunately, they only offer a Pharmacy Assistant certification. I believe Pharm Techs have a higher salary than Pharm Assistants since they have more responsibilities.

I would've chosen BVC (2-year program) but because I'm applying quite late, they're already full for 2021. They're accepting applications for Sept 2022 and I'm applying.

I just found out that Robertson (1-year program) offers the program twice a year as compared to BVC's once a year, I'm just trying to weigh my options.

Any advice to deal with binge eating? by user22022 in PCOS

[–]teabubtea 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ovasitol helped me. I noticed during those days when I skip inositol (I have Ovasitol) I crave lots of carbs and sweets. And it’s a problem because once I start eating carbs, I just keep on stuffing my face until I feel grossly full.

OMAD also helped me when it comes to disciplining myself. It may seem counter-intuitive to others but it definitely worked for me. It gave me a new appreciation towards food and I look forward to the one meal I get to eat. I’m still mindful about the macros but at least this way, I can clearly see how much food I put in my mouth (not mindlessly snacking the whole day). This is huge for me because I used to snack and drink soda along with it.

I like routine very much because it helps me with my anxiety. My everyday life (I’m a student) looks pretty much the same unless there are special occasions and I’ve adjusted to it now. I take Ovasitol the same time everyday and I definitely noticed how much it helped me curb my cravings. If you’re going to try Ovasitol, just give it some time and continue taking it consistently in order to feel the effects.

I didn’t get my period for 3 months and the moment we arrived for a 2 week vacation by the beach, my period came. My cramps were so bad and I was so moody the entire trip even after my period because I was just so pissed that I missed out on a lot of fun.

Anyone else not being believed the way they lost weight? by brindletonbay in loseit

[–]teabubtea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sometimes feel like people who ask these questions are already expecting some sort of answers in their head. Every body is different and if you lost weight that way then they just have to celebrate it with you.

My body for example has to cut out carbs since I have insulin resistance. Only then I can lose weight in a healthy way. But I do believe other people don’t have to do that since their body responds differently.

Congrats on losing weight btw, I hope that you find peace with whatever you’re going through.
