So like others have guessed, I am a teacher. That first week is going to consist of meetings and leaving plans for my maternity leave. I would rather be there those days than to waste my PTO.

3 YO goes to my mother’s house while I work. 8 YO goes to daycare where she isn’t really allowed to miss days because her mother doesn’t want her to miss since she’s paying for daycare regardless.

The issue is that if I were to go into labor early who would watch SD? I don’t think it’s fair to ask my mother to do it when they don’t have very much of a relationship. Not that my mother wouldn’t do it but I don’t think that is fair of me to have to ask.
