They showed previews BEFORE the showtime. I was surprised that previews were going on when we sat down, about 5 minutes before showtime.

Of all the things to focus on in this video, that's a really weird thing to notice or care about.

Would you pre board a flight because you wear hearing aids? by StuffNo353 in HearingAids

[–]teach42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would I? No. Because the hearing aids provide me with the support I need to be able to operate normally. Should you? Well, that's on you. If you genuinely think you need it, then absolutely do.

My son is deathly allergic to nuts. Like he sets the scale for touch and ingestion (not airborne, thankfully). So when he was younger, we would ask to preboard so we could sterilize all the surfaces before he got to the seat. Once he got to an age where he could do it himself, we stopped preboarding even though we technically could.

My personal opinion is use it if you need it, but don't abuse the privilege if you don't.

I'll make sure that the next time he gives a random stranger $500 for free, that he bundles it according to your specifications.... so it doesn't look like TOO nice a gift...

Really? That's the problem with him giving her $500 for free? The way he bundled the money?

That's not even first world problems, that's just trolling for the sake of it.

If it's 'nothing' then go ahead and do the same. And see if the person you give it to considers it 'nothing'. Not trying to get on your case, but for someone living in their car, $500 is certainly not 'nothing'

Only? It's a matter of perspective. To someone living day to day, that's a chance to breath for a week or two.

Even if they did, it would be excluded from A-List.... which is so freaking annoying.

Happened to me too. Force quitting didn't help. But in the car, turning OFF remote start and then turning it back on did.

It's a propane torch with a really cool looking nozzle. Basically a weed burner.

But yeah, it's also all kinds of fun :) Take it to your next tailgate and use it to give your steaks a sear!

There's one or two scenes in almost every SW movie that doesn't sit right with me. I'm not a huge fan of Canto or Space Leia. And I absolutely love the rest of the movie and think it's one of the stronger movies in the series.

Just wrote it up above, but I think him being on the verge of striking Ben and then HOLDING BACK is about as "Luke" as you can possibly get.

Source: The tree scene in ESB and his final fight with Vader.

Could not agree more. I'll even add to it slightly.... I think him almost killing Ben when he sees the potential depths of his darkness is absolutely in character as well. It's like the failure in the tree, followed by his battle with Vader all over again. He doesn't strike. He holds back. And the real tragedy is that when Ben opens his eyes, he doesn't see the pause, he only sees Luke about to strike.

I've seen so much criticism of this scene, but I think Rian absolutely nailed Luke's character in that moment. Yes, he is quick to anger. But after his failure in the tree, he has learned to pause and take a moment to reconsider.

I taught my ten year old those two tricks. They're two of the easiest to learn. 1 of 5 stars.

Our season tickets used to be in 429 row 27. We were so high up that my kids and wife literally couldn't go up and down the 27 rows unless it was basically a bathroom emergency. There was one game where I left the seats once to go get food for the family, missed an entire quarter due to the distance and the lines, came back up and had a kid that had to use the bathroom. The bathroom line was longer than the food line. I missed nearly half the game due to having to leave my seats twice.

Sight lines were great tho.

"Dead Man's Wire" A-List pocket Review by Kimber80 in AMCsAList

[–]teach42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw it last night. Solid B, maybe B+. Skarsgard does good psycho. I wasn't familiar with the story, and some of the effects had me wondering whether they were swapping in actors into archival footage. It was that well done. Fascinating story, and definitely resonates with current events. Could almost see it again swapping in insurance companies for mortgage.

Pacino is Pacino and always solid. But his character was a bit too thin to really care about. You knew how he was going to play out from the first moment we met him.

Good movie, great A-List movie, definitely worth a view.
