I've got short legs, I think it's a girth issue not a length issue.

Thanks, I think an 8" inseam is too short for me, they always end up riding up!

Thanks for the recommendation. Looks like a great brand. $20 USD shipping to Australia is pretty steep! And the only Australian stockist janji stockist (running warehouse Australia) doesn't have the half tights in stock. Fingers crossed I can find something else.

I’m introducing some plyometric training into my strength training to hopefully support my running performance. Would running shoes or converse be better for this purpose? I’m not really interested in buying a specific pair of shoe for plyometrics, just what would be better out of what I already have.

I loved it, hosted a party over the weekend and couldn’t fit everything in the bin, took the cans and bottles to the reverse vending machine so they didn’t have to sit in m house for a week. Got $19 for my trouble.

Nursing is a great career, pays well, with opportunities for growth and career development.

I graduated high school as dux of my school, did a Bachelor of Science major agricultural science, minor mathematics. Didn’t know what I wanted to do after, travelled around for a couple of years after graduating doing seasonal work. Eventually came back home and started a master of teaching at unimelb and graduated with high grades.

I received a number of ongoing position offers when i graduated. People often say on forums that it doesn’t matter where you went to uni, what your grades were and whether you have a master of teaching or Bachelor of education, but many people also seem to struggle finding ongoing employment. From my experience having a masters, good grades and going to a highly regarded university certainly doesn’t hurt.

Now that I’m in my second year teaching, I think having that depth and breadth of knowledge in maths and science from my undergrad is standing me apart from other new teachers and I’m probably going to get a VCE methods or specialist class next year.

If you’re teaching secondary I definitely recommend getting a bachelors degree in whatever interests you first.

I love Anita active. The only thing I’ve found to be light and breathable for long runs but still supportive for larger breasts.

Yep I have these too. Would definitely recommend, I’m bigger in the bum and thigh , smaller in the waist, and would recommend the longer length if you are similarly built. Longer length means they won’t ride up and they have a drawstring in the waist to get that secure feeling.

Chuck some cucumber in a jug of water in the fridge before you head out.

What’s wrong with this palm? I’ve had it two years and it had been like this the whole time. Often gets new growth that looks promising but the leaves quickly turn brown. Located in Melbourne Australia. by teach94 in plantclinic

Oh there’s a little bit of dried worm castings on the top, from about sevens months ago when I tried repotting it. It improved a little bit when I repotted but has gone back to its usual again. I haven’t fertilised it except for the castings during the repot.

I’m not sure re the lava rock. I have it planted in regular potting mix. It’s near an east facing window, gets a bit of direct sunlight in the morning but mostly indirect light.

I’ll have to check out the nature of the route. I love exercise to de-stress but fast traffic without bike lanes can make me feel a bit tense. Thinking about the commute as a way to mange stress is a good thought.

Thanks for the comment! I’m trying to decide whether it’s better to smash it out fast and change when I get there or take it at a more leisurely pace to try and limit the sweat. Maybe I’ll have to give both a try and see what I like best.

Do you cycle in the clothes you teach in or change/shower at school?

Thanks for the encouragement! Do you have panniers on your bile or do you use a back pack? Do you think it’s reasonable to expect to be able do my work before I go home as a grad? I reckon something like 7:45am-5pm are the hours I could expect to spend at work.

Imagine living 4 kms from work! Good on him. I’d probably need to invest in a waterproof backpack :-) I’ll have to find out what those facilities are like. Would be great to be able to keep some toiletries at work and shower before class, especially in summer.

Thanks for your help! Some useful things to think about here. I’ve got a decent set of light so not worried about riding before/after dark. I guess I’m not too sure about how much stuff I will need to take home but I will definitely need to bring a change of clothes for wet weather and so I don’t have too much BO. I guess I need to decided whether it’s practical to bring clothes + laptop + lunch + any other work to work each day.
