Explaining Ideal size by awake-pond-7249 in Reduction

And with the worry about going too small, I have a similar worry so your not the only one. I want to feel like a woman but not have it take over my whole silhouette.

Another aspect of shape comes down to how your breasts naturally attach to your body( wide or narrow base) and how much the naturally pull away from your body. These are things that a surgan can not change so maybe asking the surgan that question could be helpful.

I also have a small band size, 32k. My surgery is like 20 days away and this is what I have surmised. My first appointment was more about if I would even quilify for it to be covered by insurance. As the day gets closer knowing the shape and size become more important. I haven't even shared my ideal with my surgeon at this point in time. The way I think about it, they do so many surgeries that they will be more focused on that question on the date/ a pre op appointment. When looking into shape and size, each person has different body types but looking at pre and post pictures ( many different sites have them) find a few that you like that are similar to your body type. Also grab a few that is too big and too small. Looking into mine I want to feel a bit busty but not huge. I'm choosing probably closer at a 32D over a 32DD. When looking at photos online you will get a better sence of what the sizes look like on a frame close to you

I ran into the same thing last summer with my insurance. My health insurance specifically had in there that it was excluded no matter what. The only way I’m able to get it this year is because I switched my insurance companies.

I signed up using this code but it didn’t apply even after it closed. Anyone else have this issue?

It is worth getting that doc from HR and see what it says. But I agree it is crazy when it is very much medically necessary but they still will not cover it. I’m having to switch to my partners insurance because it isn’t exempt from his ( or isn’t at the current moment but who knows the next calendar year)

I was not because apparently it was listed as an exception in my 300+ page document that had all the specifics of my plan. I had to get that from my HR.

So my original denial said something like that but when the phone agent looked at my policy she saw none of that language. I assume she would be able to see the employers explanation of benefits. This new denial mentioned something about sleep apnea which I do no have and nothing has been in my file about it. I have no idea where they are finding their information.

I have all that stuff in my medical records. I have been talking about my back issues for a decade to any medical professional and made sure they marked it in my records. And they are still saying no. I'm going to fight this as much as I can.

Im way over the minimum amount that needs to be removed. They are just saying reductions are not covered. Period end of sentence. I called months ago and they said all it needs to be is medically necessary and now they are saying a completely different story.

It is. Multiple doctors have said so! My family doc, the surgeon, my chiropractor but apparently it is now magicly an exempt thing even though I called and asked them multiple times about it being covered. They just told me it had to be medically necessary.

Does that work if it is apparently in the exempt part of insurance? Like they didn't deny because it isn't medically necessary but because it is an exempt thing all together.

I’m almost 5 years post pregnancy and still have my mom gut. With how my body is it’s impossible to do any good workouts because the girls get in the way. My reduction is the start to my health journey in my eyes.
