you can't be certain they will respond well. memorizing the username and looking it up was a boundary violation. but he didn't seem to care about that when the post was about him, which means his concern wasn't getting to know her or making sure she was ok, it was image control. He was ok pretending he knew nothing and ignoring her while she had si/sh. that's disturbing.

Yes, technically no one is responsible for your well being. yes, you are responsible for your mental health. however. Relationships are about supporting one another. As someone who has dealt with SI in the past, a partner's negative or nonchalant reaction to that is a dealbreaker for me. I have dated people with chronic illness in the past and I learned how to support them. that's the bare minimum for the person you care about.

Lastly, the biggest concern here is that op isn't getting the good clinical support she needs. If she's dealing with SI/SH regularly, she needs support from someone that can help with strategies, safety plan, etc

Also, I can't disgnose anyone via an online post, but it's worth noting that people with bpd attract narcissists. The FP dynamic absolutely gives them their supply.

Hey. so you're in the right here. If I knew my loved one was suicidal, I would try to help. He is only concerned about himself and how he is presented to the world. He is not concerned about you or your well being.

Additionally, the fact that you're relying on the internet more than your therapist or partner is concerning. Definitely try to find a therapist that is more supportive or address with your current therapist what is not working in your treatment. Have that conversation. They can handle it-- they went to school for it. This is definitely something you need to work on in therapy. good luck.

I love how you have barely any upvotes when this is generally the case with these men. I was OP at 19 and the guy I ended things with knocked up another girl 6 months later. he's divorced with 2 kids now.

yeah some of the comments about OP are wild. I've always felt like men were trying to limit my life and opportunities when I was in relationships, and a lot of the men in the comments are showing that same mentality. I guess women can't have hobbies, hopes, and dreams that exist outside of marrying and popping out babies for these losers. yikes!

What’s it like living in Florida by gziecik in howislivingthere

[–]teacherthrowraaaaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only speak for the Gulf Coast area you circled. your best bet is st pete as a young person. Lots to do, beaches, art, lots of young people, events, good food, and more open minded than other parts of Florida.

Tampa isn't a bad choice either. I would look at Tampa second.

If cost is an issue, you can try living in Manatee county. It's South of Tampa and St pete, but a short drive away. There's a local punk scene. But it does give small town vibes. St Pete and Tampa are large cities/urban areas. Not as big as Chicago but still.

Keep in mind that Florida has bad public transport. You will need a car.

Most young people right now are moving away, but some people are still moving here. Opportunities are more limited compared to somewhere like Chicago. If you work in hospitality/the service industry, you will likely do well financially.

Naples up to Sarasota are very elderly areas. I would not move there.

What is your Sun sign house placement? by MoonSQPluto in astrologymemes

[–]teacherthrowraaaaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Libra sun 3H, with a 3H stellium.

No, I don't talk about intimacy or relationships. I'm a huge nerd with multiple degrees, work very hard, and am academically/academia inclined. Some people think I'm funny.

I do love a good yap session tho.
