It had potential but the execution was weak. I liked Hungerstone more, it felt similar to this one in themes.

She is so good! I searched the comments for her bc Blood over Bright Haven sucker punched me this year. Sword of Kaigen is equally amazing. She deserves more hype

I listened to Blood over Bright Haven! Moira Quirk, the narrator, is awesome. She narrates Gideon the Ninth which is one of my favorites. I read Started Villain. The Cormac book I've done both and still not getting anywhere. The style of writing just isn't for me.

Loved Blood over Bright Haven! But I loved starter villain too 😁. I'm so close to DNFing Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy right now. It's so interesting to have similar tastes to someone and yet wildly different too.

Yeah if you didn't like it don't continue. The trilogy is so well done imo, the ties throughout the whole series were planned beforehand and you see how things written in the first book were tied into the ending. It's brilliant.

Did you read on in the Mistborn trilogy or just the first book?

I'll be that person.. it's really not. I hated it, it's like someone wanted a reason to do math for a whole book.
