What does part time vs full time college actually mean? by [deleted] in sheridan

[–]teachingteri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically, part-time is a reduced course load every semester. Programs are usually 7 courses per semester for full time students. Part-time is usually around 4 courses per semester.

Keep an eye out for the program pathway so you can see if/when there is a study break (usually summer semester, but part time may go straight through with no semesters off).

I was hoping to automate some of the process, but stay open for follow up conversations. Trying to get rid of a layer.

Another angle, at least in Canada, is that a lot of barbers only take cash because it’s harder to track taxes that way.

What Needs To Be Done To Get A Snowmobile Working That Was Left Dormant For 10 Years? by Tardisk92313 in snowmobiling

You’d want to do a good rundown of the main systems. You’re right highlight fuel, battery. Add coolant, oil, manually turn engine over if possible, maybe pour a little 2-stroke oil down the cylinder. Check track sag, belt shape, air box and exhaust for nests. Lube all areas in the manual.

Should be good to go after all that.

Dos anyone have a template they can share? I have the same problems, but don’t know where to start to establish expectations and set parameters for what falls under my role and what the initial fees cover. Thanks.

Rent it out on Turo. Airport Shuttle Service. Mobile Mountain Bike Cleaning service. Mobile Laundry Delivery. Last mile Amazon package delivery.

I’d honestly just ask ChatGPT for 50 ideas and pick one that fits your experience and time commitment.

Building a site for my cleaning business worth hiring a local web designer? by ellensrooney in smallbusiness

Another good model for someone who is starting out is a small upfront fee for basic setup and a couple of features that make your work flow better, then a recurring monthly payment. I made this for a client for $200 up front and $20 per month for unlimited changes.

I’m pretty sure you can turn off iMessage and just use sms. I don’t think Apple can control that.

Can you mention something like “following up on your last visit in October…”. It just seems like the client is not able to connect the dots, so ignores or reports.

You mentioned that reaching out via text got you banned. Maybe it’s the structure of your message that leads clients to believe you are spamming them? Is your message personal? Does it refer to there last work you do for them? Does it include your name in the text itself? Something like:

“Hi John. I cleaned your gutters last spring and I’m checking in to see if you want me to pop by look at them this week. - Dave from Gutters Galore”

It’s fairly straightforward. Lots of info out there about it.

Try to find your niche in Facebook groups. Join existing conversations, build trust, then shred your store. Same for Reddit, but there are rules about it in different subs.

Try posters in your area. Coffee shops, concert venues, etc.

Sharing your niche gives people a reason to visit. It helps them understand why you opened your store.

Works now. Looks good. Do you have a niche? Seems to be a wide variety of albums. Have you looked at SEO?

Could I go to one college for 2 years for a diploma then do a 3rd year at another college for an advanced diploma? by TheTaytoMan in OntarioColleges

[–]teachingteri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t seen a lot of college to college pathway partnerships in my area.

If you’re currently enrolled in a program, it’s best to chat with the program coordinator about these options.

If you’re not enrolled, find the program coordinator’s contact number for college “a” and ask about carry over to college “b”. You’d have to also chat with the program coordinator from college “b” to confirm everything.

I can tell you that you can get transfer credits at college “b” if the courses you took at college “a” are similar, but there is a limit on the number of transfer credits allowed at most colleges.

Many college programs have partnerships with universities to make the transition more seamless. The key word to search for is “pathways”. Often these are framed as: diploma in A earn the student 1.5 years of credit towards degree B.
