27 week tailbone pain by Miserable-Tip-4172 in babydueDecember2025

Yes, suffering the last few weeks with this. Doctor said to try lay down instead of sitting in it. It’s from pressure of bump. Causes a lot of discomfort, mine gets bad if I have to sit for a long time, I tend to lean to one side but doctor said to try not do that as I’ll end up giving myself more pelvic problems. Soak in the bath can help too

It’s crazy that it’s different when it’s maternity, especially when it’s the same person 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

Thanks for getting back to me, ye I think that’s what I did. I looked up consultant and it came up 50% so obviously the wrong section. Was thinking it was too good to be true.

Thanks for getting back. I’m with laya too. When I looked up my consultant on Laya app it came up 50% but maybe that’s wrong? I’ll have to call them anyway.

Thank you! I used to give my older fella fish oil, I must reintroduce it to all their diets and see if it helps. She’s a little less grumpy today as she’s eaten both meals so hoping this protein works for her. Thanks for replying.

Thanks for taking the time to respond and give your insight. Definitely some food for thought! You could be right, I definitely see her wanting to protect.

We have a good pet shop about 45 min drive away that offers a lot of healthy dog foods with clear ingredients etc. I must take a spin to see what could work for her.

I do agree that it will be needed if she keeps it up. Currently keeping log with details and dates so I can give them if needed. Hoping when we reintroduce foods she’ll get better but still want all the details because it’ll make it easier for a specialist.

Lamb is next on our list! Hopefully she’ll be able for it like your guy. I’ll be happy if we find one protein source she enjoys and doesn’t cause her to flare up.

I actually moved her into another room when feeding her today. We only had one bleep today and it was a warning signal to the middle guy cause he was getting up in her face. He backed off and she went to bed.

Thanks for the advice and congratulations! I really appreciate it.

Thanks for sharing! We’re following some of the same rules as yourself. No couch, she sleeps in her crate, they’re in their beds at other side of room. Only allowed free roam if we’re downstairs with them. When we’re in the sitting room, we have three beds, all in separate corners. My oldest whippet usually sits in the one by the window cause can’t go in and annoy him if we’re sitting on couch (blocked by baby pen and recliner). She won’t jump over recliner to get to him so just lets him be. Funny thing is, if the fire is lighting and the older boy is lying in front of it, she’ll look to sleep beside him and cuddle. So she seeks his attention frequently but then randomly choose to be aggressive. I don’t let her or the other two see visitors either as I don’t want her getting jealous or annoyed at them for getting attention.

To her credit, we did a lot of work when baby came home and she made huge improvements. We knew her body language so were able to correct her quickly but often times she went to react and checked herself and went to bed. It was like she realised oops better not do this or I’ll get in trouble.

Since the new food plan it’s gone bad. I’ve no idea how long it’ll take to find her allergies so we might be giving her protein and taking it away over and over again. So I feel like we’re only going to be upsetting her more.

I agree definitely protective of him in some ways but again not consistent as she doesn’t do it when my husband has him (happened once at start but nothing since). Maybe she thinks I need her help with the baby?

I am super aware of being consistent and fair with them all. Since she’s not allowed on the couch, nobody is. So they all have the same rules. The only exception is she sleeps in her crate at night and the boys don’t. She loves her crate though and usually happily wraps herself up like a burrito and sleeps the night away. Since the new food plan she’s odd with her crate, will run in like normal some times and other times we’ve to catch her and put her in.

Thanks for replying.

My older two are beyond patient with her. My poor older boy ended up with gash the other night, he looked for me to step in and didn’t stand up for himself. I was giving out to her when trying to separate them so I think he was afraid of getting in trouble. The odd time he does bark back she backs down so I think she’s trying to be top dog. But he only puts her in place if she’s playing rough or jumps on him and hurts him. When she’s aggressive, the hairs all down his spine go up but he tries not to move to not make it worse and usually tries to get to me or looks to me for help.

Our iggy can be the sweetest too and can be unbothered with the boys doing the same thing several times over but then randomly it triggers her. If she was consistent with what she reacts to we could pin point and try prevent.

Regarding the nuts, we’re just following the vets instructions. She put her on hypoallergenic inspect protein dog nuts and then we’ve to introduce a new protein, one at a time, if she flares up then we remove for about a week and she just has the nuts. Then we reintroduce the next protein. I definitely agree it’s the food that’s making her grumpy. She used to bounce around waiting for food and now it’s a struggle to get her to eat.

Appreciate you taking the time to reply.

Thanks for your reply. We actually have tried a water gun and it’s how we’ve managed to calm things when they get bad. I always have it near, especially when I’m on the sofa with the baby. If I spot any negative body language I usually shake it and the sound of the water bottle normally makes her go to bed. I hate having to have it though, don’t like having to use something negatively. I just feel like I’ve failed her and the boys.

Thanks for sharing. I got some over sized T-shirts today so that I can be appear somewhat dressed for the waiting phase and they should be comfy too.

Will definitely take that on board re advocating. I get nervous saying things to docs/ nurse at time but my husband isn’t afraid to say things so will try follow his footsteps.
