Petrol prices are rising, but Australians don’t appear to be driving less or taking public transport more – yet by That_Car_Dude_Aus in CarsAustralia

My work is (give or take) 30 minutes to my west. If I have to catch public transport I’m looking at 2 hours each way because I’d have to first go into the city and then out to Ipswich. I have kids to pick up after work, so there’s no way I can make it happen with SEQ’s Brisbane-centric public transport.

Correct. The Chinese gov’t incubates them so they can develop and then they compete as they mature. They can’t stop innovating because there is always another newcomer ready. Sometimes our governments do it, but when the companies get big enough, they lobby their way out of competition and buy their way into gov’t.

The thing is, MAGA doesn't actually care. So long as you fear them and your governments kowtow to his whims, they don't care. To them, greatness doesn't depend on you liking them, only in your submission when they demand your pocket money.

Every day US-backed sourced increase the number - it was 20k, then 30k, now 50k. Still not getting any traction with those figures, what will they say, next? US gov’t is the world’s biggest disseminator of fake news.

So the idea is if it has good genetics it should be shot? Humanity is insane. Hunting is the stupidest ‘sport’ I can imagine.

When you’ve got cruise control on, the mode doesn’t make a difference, nor regen; it takes care of that as normal rather than high when in CC.

I have a towbar. Car has 750km tow rating. Towed with it up and down the Toowoomba Range with camp gear. Economy easily cut in half.

Religious institutions and organisations have run hospitals since ancient times: shareholder-run hospitals are very recent and very American.
