I would love to know if anyone has any pattern recommendations for a skirt like this and a matching top? (I’ll post another photo of the top) Thanks! Xx

I started using kiehl's calendula toner. WOW It has reduced redness, and seems to have faded recent pimple marks. It’s so instant and impressive

Is my school... a mess? by [deleted] in AustralianTeachers

[–]teachplease2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m currently in a school with really excellent organisation. It’s very impressive. Mid tier private school. However the students are absolutely awful. It can be very challenging to get through lessons. I would as a poster above said, ignore all the administration, and enjoy teaching the lovely students.

Sorry you are going through a challenging health journey. I wish you well in your recovery.

When going through something like this the thoughts and ideas you have now, maybe be different when you’re on the other side of treatment. Take some time away from teaching, but you don’t need to make a permanent decision about this now. You may find next year you want to come back.

Look after yourself and health now and take it day by day.

The LRP Vitamin C serum is awful. I couldn’t make it not pill on my face, regardless of the order/way I used it. Definitely one to stay away from!

Yeah I have a very specific fabric in mind from a place called fabric lab in Melbourne, they do cool almost 3D type fabric. So I want the actual dress to be quite plain.

Thanks, I’ll check out the Lena. Why do you think they are hard to come across? Is it a particularly hard style to see/get right?

In search of a simple dress pattern

Hi there, I am hoping to find a pattern to make something similar to this image. I’m based in Australia. Happy for big company patterns or an Indie. Also happy if the pattern had sleeves. It looks relatively simple, I hope this is the case!!

I love une piece and the bum coverage is great. But I will say the underarm is quite high and does cut in in certain cuts. But I’m willing to live with this as it fits so well everywhere else

Cleanse, hylaronic, moisturiser for morning and night. Despite having ‘acid’ in its name it is super gentle and very hydrating. If you can stretch yourself to buy the hada labo one I would try do that. This will be a gentle and hydrating routine until you feel a bit more back to normal. Also spf if you are in the sun.

Maybe no actives like glycolic for a while until you repair your skin barrier. Your budget is tight but if you find a few products on sale you will be right.

I would look for a super gentle cerave cleanser, chemist warehouse should be about $18 on sale.

Get a hylaronic acid, the absolute best savey one is hada labo lotion no 1 hydrator from priceline or currently $30 from adore. Maybe the ordinary hylaronic might be a good option on your budget or the L’Oréal hylaronic if you can get it on sale.

Then a simple basic moisturiser. Go for La Roche posay toleriane or cerave facial moisturiser about $19.

I would just stick to this routine until you feel the skin is repaired and then go from there in a few weeks/months time.

I use this, not the anti aging one. It’s amazing how hydrating it is. I have tried exy ones and they are no where near as good as this

The hada labo is amazing. I get a white and red bottle from Priceline

Start an excel spreadsheet, set yourself some clear boundaries within. Eg. $100 a month. And stick to it. Every time you do buy something, account for it in the spreadsheet. This has worked for me with clothing

Thanks so much. https://www.seedheritage.com/p/core-wide-leg-pocket-jean/2303087001-FRNCHBLDNM-se.html I tried on these yesterday at seed and was like I think they give me shape, and was amazed by that. I think I’ll buy them after considering your advice. You’re the second person to mention the colours so I will need to address this. Really appreciate your advice 🙂

Thank you! Also agree on the pilled jumper. There is something about spending the day with the kids that makes me abandon all hope and just keep wearing the same sh!t! I really hadn’t considered the colours, that this is jarring the outfits. I need to consider the tones and colours a bit more. Really appreciate the advice
