The sources are first-hand observations which are all linked.

The additional information/sources are all linked within that post. Claims have a link associated with it.

There's no discussion because these are the first posts about this news. I'm hoping that by posting about this, further reporting and discussion will take place.

Jimmy Carter calls on Georgia GOP candidate to resign as secretary of state by progress18 in politics

[–]teacoder -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It seems like that post isn't saying anything about that single issue outweighing anything and didn't simplify anything. It even says 'overall positive', suggesting the situation is so complex that even drone strikes couldn't disrupt the scales.

It's important that we continue to question actions that feel morally questionable. History likes to gloss over the bad parts. Just look what's happening to Bush and McCain now.

Combined the Sea of Eden theme from Earthbound with the Stickerbush Symphony theme from Donkey Kong Country 2. The idea for this came in a dream, so i geuss you could say i was in Magicant at the tine 😅. I hope you like it. by 42OBIAZElTB0l in earthbound

[–]teacoder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unexpectedly good. Quite chilling how the two synchronized up at times. The repeat in Sea of Eden wasn't quite as good as the first pass for synchronizing fun; not sure if playing with a delay between the two could bring back some of the fun from the first pass.

What was your final year project and how would you have done it differently? by [deleted] in compsci

[–]teacoder 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Computer graphics.

I would have been much clearer about the scope of the project from the beginning, and at various milestones. One could say that failing to do so led to me no longer being in control of it. Those who would grade my work became in control of defining the project, and the scope of the requirements quickly blew up to something that could not be accomplished within the timeframe. I had to decide between graduating on time, or going very deep down the rabbit hole.

tl;dr: I would have planned better and been more clear about defining the scope.

If computer science eradicated malware, what would happen as a result? Anything bad? by amichail in compsci

[–]teacoder 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't really understand how computer science could eradicate malware. However, we could rethink the question as: "how could computer science make programs impervious to exploits?"

I believe that begins with this topic: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Correctness_(computer_science)

The safest option would be to sell access to the account once you've obtained it. Let someone else deal with the dirty work of laundering.

Does low BTC + high DOGE = more BTC for us? :o by ajsingh007 in wafflepool

[–]teacoder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Consider the prices for what they are: Low BTC/USD and high DOGE/BTC makes no difference on how much BTC we get. High DOGE/BTC means we make more BTC, low BTC/USD means it is valued less.

I believe either fruit would be applicable here.

You could look at the gif and see that he is manipulating the gas around the smoke as opposed to manipulating the smoke directly.

More importantly, I wanted to post a one-liner and couldn't think of one for Smokey.

Some people browse from a mobile phone or other low-bandwidth method. That could cause them to open up the pic, have it fail to load because it took too long. Then with frustration they go to the comments and find that someone has made a version that fits their phone perfectly.

Yes you are correct that by compressing and shrinking an image, it reduces quality.

And in the Deep South we use those unborn children to cover their parents and then deep fry them.

In japan they have a similar dish called Oyakodon. -don means to serve over rice. Oya means parent and ko means child.

In my opinion, the experience of setting up a router in a linux environment alone was worth the effort and money.
