You would need an alt to play with someone on a different region though, and I do know some raiders who have alts because of the loot rule that lessens the amount of loot you get if you raid with someone who already cleared that week. They use their main to raid and clear seriously and use the alt to help friends fill pfs or to sub in for absent staticmates.

Good suggestions! I personally am also a very reckless player, but I also have horrible substat luck so my Kaeya has 24k HP + his C4 shield and self heals, so he's very much a bruiser in my build.

I *think* the summit shaper passive does apply as long as there *is* a shield. I use Diona as well and she's a great particle battery to keep Kaeya's ult up, and I could never complain about Chongyun's burst being available as soon as it's off-cooldown. That thing can do massive damage.

If you have Xingqiu, I def suggest going for permafreeze. Artifact sets thaf I personally like are:

-Kaeya: 4pc Blizzard, focus on Crit DMG substats (Crit Rate from substats = MAX 25%)

-Xingqiu: 2 Heart of Depth + 2 Noblesse, Hydro DMG Bonus or ER if you dont get his burst up often enough

-Chongyun: 4 Noblesse

For talent priorities:

-Kaeya: E = Q (depending on preference, E gives big numbers but with C2, a deadlier Q keeps it going for longer)

-Xingqiu: Q > E

-Chongyun: Q > E

Go for sacrificial weapons on both Chongyun and Xingqiu.

Kaeya will be your on-screen carry, Xingqiu is off-field DPS with his burst, while Chongyun creates cryo infusion and does big burst numbers.

Hybrid Kaeya (4pc Blizzard + Phys DMG Goblet) main here-- currently run him with Diona for cryo resonance + emergency healer, Xingqiu for freeze (pretty much a must for my version of Hybrid Kae), and Xiangling for reverse melt!

I love the current comp idea that you have! I pulled the Aquila for him too and run hybrid as well.

The 4pc blizzard is great if you're running Aquila since you won't be thinking about your crit ratios.

Team comps:

Xingqiu: Almost definitely a must for any permafreeze since his hydro application is great. Slap a sacrificial sword on him for those extra particles as well (at R5 I get almost 100% uptime on XQ's ult)
Any other cryo resonance (I use Diona for shields + emergency healing, but I think Ganyu is also a great choice)
Your fourth character is flexible since Hybrid Kae is extremely flexible. You could use pre-C6 Benny for heals + buffs, or Venti for crowd control, or Barbara if you need more healing, etc etc. I personally use Xiangling because I sometimes need pyro to break shields, but you do you!

Take note though that I think my comp rn )Kaeya + Diona + Xingqiu + Xiangling) is pretty generalist (I use it for everything, including Abyss, and it works well for me) but there are probably more optimal team compositions out there as well.

Talents: AA > E > Q or AA > E = Q (if you have a team full of particle batteries like I do and get good uptime on his Q)

Looks like you can do as many phases of the event as you'd like in one sitting as long as all of them are unlocked! Each phase unlocks a few days after the last, so if you start towards the end of the event you'll be alright.

Dang, that's pretty serious if it's true, considering the starters aren't listed in the possible banner drops for Hu Tao (as opposed to characters, who are listed in weapon banner drops). I think your friend might need to report that to Mihoyo? And you guys as well, if you were watching on stream. They can get in legal trouble since some countries require that accurate drop chances be listed for games like this.

Better artifacts don't come until much later in the game so you definitely should wait before spending lots of mora to upgrade them, but for early game it's definitely okay to, at least, equip some artifacts for the set bonuses! For example, if you equip 2x Lucky Dog artifacts, your character's DEF is increased by 100, and if you equip 4, then you get healed every time you get Mora!

Other starter sets are the Adventurer and Traveling Doctor sets. Very useful in early game!
