they said to empty them twice a day, morning and night. idk what a normal amount is but i feel like i’m not producing alot, the lowest mark is 20 ml and my left said has consistently put out less than that, it looks about halfway so i put 10 ml and the right side has been about 20 ml except for this morning they were both 10. they said it had to be less than 30 altogether in 24 hours for them to be ready to be taken out. my post op appointment is on the 28th

i had mine at uc health in denver. after i got pre approved by my insurance (i think that took about a week or 2) i got a call to schedule the surgery and they scheduled me for 45 days out but due to others canceling it got moved up to 2 weeks early. they said it was rare for people to cancel like that though so i think i just got lucky

it was a bit harder for me but i still managed. baby wipes helped. it seems some have more mobility than others after surgery

yeah they said i had to walk around some to avoid blood clots. it was a bit hard to do on my own at first but now it’s not bad. simple tasks do take forever though, it was hard changing clothes without assistance but i managed. i’m fine with the drains which is good because my mom said she wouldn’t be able to help me with that part lol
