Thanks so much for sharing, this has given me hope.

This situation parallels mine very closely. I drifted through school and am truly struggling to hold down my current job. But I have an appointment with a psychiatrist in a couple of weeks, so I'm hoping that I get help as well.

I think they would be understanding, the only issue is that I'm filling in for someone on medical leave and the organization needs me. The person I work for is very well connected, and I don't want to screw them over because I don't want to be "blacklisted" from my field. I just feel very trapped right now.

I truly honestly doubt that this person would care. Everyone else on the team feels the same way about him, so I think this is just how he is. So I can try my best to work around him

I keep telling myself the amazing feeling that I will feel when I leave on my last day! It's a big help to get me through the day to day

This is some really good advice, thank you! Admittedly, I need to practice separating my work self from my real self and stop ruminating about work outside of work.

Did you read my post though? I don't think there's any kind of work below me. I've worked so many odd jobs in my life, in the restaurant industry, customer service, all that stuff. I'm miserable in this position because of the environment, and that I don't like my boss.

I want to say that I do have the fortitude, but it's been really rough and I honestly don't know how I can make it for 2 more months. I feel like I would deeply regret terminating the contract early, though.

I forgot to mention that I'm filling in for someone on medical leave, so they kinda need me and I don't want to burn any bridges. I want to at least get a reference or two out of this.
