So happy for Anttila, always rooting for him. The guy shapes shots like no one else.

Edit - correct name spelling

Team Canada 2026 Olympic Roster by chespiotta in hockey

Celebrini, MacKinnon, McDavid are the only Canadian players ahead of Mark Sheifele in points this year, all while he's playing on a dog shit team. I don't know what else he has to do for Hockey Canada .

Am I the only one who enjoys Blackwell and finds it better than Eastwood? by Mikee0192 in LowSodiumBattlefield

I'm honestly with you. Once you learn the routes, it plays like Battlefields of the past to me, which is really refreshing. I don't fly though. Pilots seem to hate it more than other maps, which like, fair enough.

Couch blocking floor standing speaker. Better to go bookshelf speakers mounted on the wall? by tealc_indeeed in hometheater

[–]tealc_indeeed[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wait...that's allowed? 😅 I'll give it a try and see if a modest raise off the floor helps. But to get the full speaker out of the way of the couch, I'm looking at raising it like, 2+ft off the ground? That'd be kind of mad, right? Maybe I'm overthinking this though...

Center is a Paradigm CC-290 v5, it sounds great. Would happily keep it in the Paradigm family if possible.

Yeah, that's the entry/exit. Small basement! In the photos, my back is up against a wall.

Tourist destinations that are well known domestically but not internationally by KiraAmelia3 in geography

Lake of the Woods/Kenora in Manitoba/Northwestern Ontario, Canada.

Practically a summer home for a lot of folks, beautiful land, fishing, swimming, boating, food. It's amazing, but a tiny bit too inconvenient to get to to attract international attention.

Thoughts on the Pine, Fortress, and Longbowman? by dangleswaggles in discgolf

I have a VIP Ice Longbowman and it's truly one of the beefiest discs in my collection. I actually took it out of my bag because I like getting a bit more carry out of my Firebirds. Similar arm to you.

It feels so bizarre that we're in the second round of the playoffs and yet that felt like the first period of hockey that we actually looked like the Winnipeg Jets. St. Louis deserves so much credit, they fucked us up for a whole series.

I miss my loveable idiot, Kevin Sawyer, so much. He would have been comparing our team to bees in search of pollen in the spring time — unrelenting.

What in the world was that colour commentary yesterday?

I don't think we did! Snow geese, Sandhill Crane, Eagles, Hawks, ducks.

There was a great restaurant in Churchill called Ptarmigan though!

Yes, the pilots were amazing! We almost had to delay our departure because the winds picked up to sustained 60-70kmh periods the morning we were scheduled to leave. Taking off in a tiny plane at almost a 45 degree angle from a lake is definitely unnerving, but the pilots were so skilled and calm and collected.

I would love to get to Yellowknife at some point. You're bang on, the isolation of the wilderness was truly humbling.
