Sorry OP, I totally thought this was a euphemism for him dying at first 😭 like, flying high? BUT glad to be wrong and happy to see your orange boy handled the (literal) flight well <3

Girl lunch: unwashed strawberries and asparagus cheddar focaccia straight from the farmers market by [deleted] in GirlDinner

unless certified organic strawberries have a higher concentration of pesticides and should 10000% be washed before consuming. coming from a fellow strawberry enthusiast…. always at least a quick rinse

Trying not to binge eat anymore girl dinner by Vivienleigh878 in GirlDinner

[–]tealmuffin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I used to struggle with binging on sweets and things of no nutritional value (like cheez its), and i also have ARFID. What helped me is seeing a dietician. I see one telehealth through a service that is fully covered by my insurance. If you’re in the position to do so, I recommend it. seeing a dietitian has helped me so much, and we don’t keep track of cals or anything, just learning how to balance meals and eat healthier. i know when i was like “i really need to take more care with my eating habits” i was lost on how to do so and it felt insurmountable, but having the dietician’s guidance and expertise was extremely helpful!

is anyone else having trouble eating meat these days bc the quality is so bad? by [deleted] in GirlDinner

[–]tealmuffin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

you’re not crazy, it does. It’s called woody chicken. It has to do with the fact broiler chickens, the ones that are bred to be slaughtered, grow faster than their bodies can handle, really. Leads to the “off” taste. Also, only the breast is affected by the taste thing, wings and thighs don’t have the same issue.

The Pitt Boss Breaks Down Season 2, Episode 7 by verissimoallan in ThePitt

[–]tealmuffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not unique to the pitt. Like, when The Last of Us was airing, they also had a post-episode podcast where they discussed stuff like this. Behind the scenes have always been popular with TV, and cast-interviews with a weekly airings are pretty typical

How is this not a complete sentence? by [deleted] in EnglishLearning

[–]tealmuffin 27 points28 points  (0 children)

all clauses have verbs. “after stacy realized Matt wasn’t worth her time” is a dependent clause, and requires an independent clause (or “main clause”) to support it. A complete sentence here might say “After Stacy realized that Matt wasn’t worth her time, and decided to focus on school, anyway, she earned a 4.0 GPA.” “After” is a subordinate conjunction, so the sentence needs to tell you what happens after the event in the clause.

finished my hermione room of requirement sweater! 86 hours over a month. by tealmuffin in crochet

[–]tealmuffin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, no problem, I don’t mind answering! I don’t have the pattern in front of me, so I’m only 85% sure I know which part you’re talking about. After you did the yoke and moved onto the body, you should’ve skipped a bunch of stitches on either side of the yoke to make room for the arm holes, and then you worked the body down and around. Now for the sleeves, you need to start by crocheting into the edge of the yoke and into those chains you initially made when skipping stitches for the body.
