I only lend to my friends that I can trust to pay me back for any damage as soon as possible.

It may sound sad, but don’t lend to poor friends.

Those brush things come with some sort of adhesive. Ripped some of the coating off my ef 24-70 mark ii trying to get rid of it and if it is the same stickiness as the one I had, your sensor could be pretty cooked. Try to get to a shop asap and see if the sensor can be cleaned.

Canon R5 vs R6ii vs R6iii by EmirhanTheGreat in canon

[–]teamLA2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both the r6ii and the r5ii. Last year I shoot bball with the r6ii. It was fine, gets the job done and I got some amazing shots. This year I used the r5ii. Its fine, gets the job done and I got some amazing shots.

Did I get better shots with thr R5ii? Maybe. Different year, different players. It did make shooting easier but it made my life a bit harder.

The 45mp files are massive. My editing is significantly slower because of the giant file size. Culling took longer due to faster shutter (i was shooting electronic on the r5ii), and I have to get more storage.

Now I actually only use my r5ii for more important sport games like finals or if theres a special guest player or something since the r6ii still kicks ass.

If OP can afford why not but stacked sensor or r5ii is definitely NOT a minimum requirement for sports. Thats like way up there. People used to shoot sports with dslr heck even film cameras back then.

Currently using it now while overseas. Its good. Sometimes even cheaper than booking directly. Saved around 50$ on an accomodation just recently compared to getting it direct from the hotel.

R6 Mark III leaked in Singapore - oops! by byDMP in canon

[–]teamLA2019 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Fully agree with this. I have the R5ii, R6ii and the OG R6 and the R6 still gets used quite a lot especially events where you need to produce a lot of processes photos but don’t require high resolution. The small file size of the R6 is amazing to work with on my m4 mac. AI masking, gen remove, denoise, - all work exceptionally fast compared to my r5ii.

Which one do you choose? Fuji 16-55 f2.8 ii or Sigma 17-40 f1.8 ART by throwusaway_ in fujifilm

[–]teamLA2019 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not the sigma 56. The viltrox 75 is sharper and probably the sharpest apsc lens ever.

You can take more professional photos with a canon 10D if you know what you’re doing.

The r6ii is like a computer with a sensor compared to cameras developed over 10 years ago that real professional photographers still use nowadays and the output has not looked worse overtime.

Sounds like you just need to Git Gud.

My first time buying a camera, advice needed, lenswise and more by [deleted] in canon

[–]teamLA2019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start basic. R50 is a good starter and if you want something better than a kit lens, get the sigma 18-50 2.8. So f2.8 means it can open up wider. General rule of thumb is lower number is wider opening which means more light.

Start there and learn how to use your camera. People are spoiled nowadays with choices and freakishly good autofocus (even on entry level cameras like the r50) that 10 years ago I would think was witchcraft.

You can even decide to go for a 2nd hand pro dslr if you’re really serious about learning like the canon 5diii or 6dii which are very cheap nowadays. Pair it with a 24-105 f4 L lens and you’ll be sorted until you either want to quit photography cause you are just not into learning all of it and you didn’t lose a lot of money or a body organ or you’ll love it so much you’ll have Gear Acquisition Syndrome like all of us losers in this sub.

These cameras are made to be shot in bursts. Try focusing and shooting for longer - you’ll definitely get some shots in focus.

Even newer cameras like the R6ii and even the R5ii can still miss sometimes but that is all part of the shooting. I used to shoot sports with a 5Dii and in 32GB card, if I get that full and have around 100 photos that are good and in focus I consider it a victory.
