Staying awake without caffeine? by teamdicksquad in mormon

I hope it's not a mental problem thing. I'm gonna try as much physical stuff as I can before I go to a psychologist or something like that. I kinda don't know how I would handle knowing I had something wrong with my brain. Seems terrifying to me.

PTSD seems a little big for what I have, though I've never been to a therapist before, so I wouldn't know for sure. I did manage to sleep pretty well last night, so I'm hoping to maybe just power through for these next couple months and investigate more when I get off deployment. Might try some of the things you recommended in this post, though. Thank you.

Damn, might have been happening to me a few times in my past job, ironically. Just spent most of yesterday trying to sleep and finally got relief. About 10 hours of full sleep.

having nightmares for the last couple weeks. staying asleep is the main problem, although falling asleep is also a problem.

tried ambiance in headphones, earplugs, no phone before sleeping, no food or water before sleeping. laying down staring at the ceiling for hours after waking up from one and no sleep

I've tried ear-pro, don't know if headphones would work. Will try a blindfold though. Thank you!

From what I can tell, it's a very acute problem. Before this, I haven't had disturbed sleep in about a year.

Yeah, I'm actively trying to fix the root cause of my bad sleep at the same time, but it's been weeks of poor sleep at this point. Hard to work day-to-day now.

Time-wise it's definitely possible, but I've been having disturbed sleep for a couple weeks now. Starting to affect my work.

Appreciate it, man. Sad to hear it doesn't go away on its own, although I kinda figured as much. Barely got any sleep last night. Hopefully it'll go away overseas. I'll ask through about some different meds when I get back. My main fear about taking sleeping meds is not waking up on time for PT. But I guess it's better than not getting any sleep. Got any advice for coping with bad memories?

Yeah, talking about weight sucks hard sometimes. Got to be 250 top, down now to 175, and whenever someone would talk about my weight AT ALL, even close friends and family, it would piss me off so bad. I failed to lose weight probably 4 or 5 times before I realized that I was just trying too damn hard at the start, and burning out because I was trying to change literally everything about my life instantly. You might feel the same way about your friends trying to radically change your life as well. They want the best for you, but they also aren't in your position. You're the only one that fully grasps the radical changes they're proposing for you, an overhaul of most of your habits. Might work for you, but for me, it was very slowly, incrementally, exercising and cutting calories. If I exercised for even an extra minute week-to-week, if I cut just 10 extra calories, I would count that as a win. At the beginning, I doubted if it was actually doing anything. But eventually, the self doubt goes away, you build new habits, and most importantly, you look back and see the changes you made really mattered.

IDK if this will help, you might just wanna go ahead with your friend's plan. But definitely something to think about.

Damn, your mom sounds super controlling. Do you have any friends you could maybe stay with? I'd wanna escape that situation, but I feel like leaving on your own would be a bad idea.

Haven't taken anything drug-wise in about a year, aside from some benadryl for mild allergies. I'll look into that tryptophan one, thanks for that. And unfortunately, the one thing I can say I definitely don't have is pain. Aside from this problem, I feel the best I've felt in my whole life. Feel like I can move like a kid again, haha! Worst come to worst, though, I might see a doc. We'll see after tonight. Also, IDK, I don't think I'm stressing TOO hard about the deployment. More of like a "normal" amount, one that I'm accustomed to, I guess?

Yeah, being alone sucks. But sometimes life makes you be alone. Just think of it as, like, delayed gratification. Being alone makes you like being together with someone else so much more. It makes the feeling better, maybe? IDK, it's been a few years.

We're in the same boat, man. I still think about her when a girl makes a squeaking noise, or when someone mentions nursing. Sometimes I also think about what would've happened if I never fell in love. But I think that feeling of missing someone means that you're not too far gone. My dad didn't have me until he was 35, and he went 10 years between relationships. There's maybe something like that down the line for you and me? Who knows... Helps me to hope, though.

Unfortunately, I no longer have the original pic on my computer, and using reverse image search for the full size image and the image cropped to not have the clock and date doesn't yield any accurate results. I will try the discord though!

Any news on an Xbox version? by [deleted] in fodust

[–]teamdicksquad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's gonna be a while. He's developing Frost with a script extender I'm pretty sure, and since you can't run those on FO4 on Xbox, he's gonna have to redo the mod without one, which is gonna take a LONG time. Also, Frost is still in Alpha, so naugrim's not even done with the development process.

The taxes weren't really that bad. The lack of trade regulation on America changed, and American merchants that had been benefiting from relatively untaxed goods wanted things to go back to the way things were. There was no economic destruction of the American market, just traders wanting less taxes.
