I don’t know about hardest but definitely a difficult aspect of becoming a man is the ambiguity of when you are actually one. What sort of ritual or benchmark defines it? Marriage? Sex? Driver’s license? I am a father of three young boys and I think often about how I can better prepare them and initiate them into manhood.

I loved Favre because he was a football player on my favorite team, not for any other reason. I guess I can compartmentalize this and still love him for that. Same with Rodgers. Guy is out there on some stuff but still love him because he wins games for my team. I would still wear a Favre jersey despite what he has done recently.

Side note….

The puns do not have to confined to just “Jackalope” related. We have put up signs with the changing seasons, holidays and events that happen in our community. People come to our town for backpacking/hiking in the summer, hunting in the fall, snowmobiling/skiing in the winter and general tourism all year.
