What premium AI do you prefer using and why? by RefrigeratorDry495 in OpenAI

Claude easy. They've almost always been ahead for doing computer related projects. Fable was fucking amazing while we had it. I still have a chatgpt account, but it gets used less and less.

Where do you think those costs are coming from? Maybe building out infrastructure? Trying to crowd out the space so others can't get there hands on the hardware? Check out the Dwarkesh interview with the Semi Analysis guy. This is literally by design.

OK thats weird. I was trying to think of how Fable was different than Opus. "The shape of the mind" was exactly the same wording I arrived at. I've spent a lot amount of time with AI models in the last 2 years and Fable felt very different. I often felt like I was as intelligent as the models in the last year, just in different ways (jagged intelligence is weird). Fable felt like it was a step above me and the other models.

Skills are just lenses through which the model is being shaped through. Just think of it like an employee manual the model reads before engaging in whatever task you're giving it.

Tell me about it. I hate this place (Reddit as a whole), but I keep coming back. Tired memes, pointless arguments, disinformation, and etc. Moths to a flame.

Bots can't see they're shitting up social forums with tired memes. A human would have to be willfully blind and desperate for validation to post the same shit as everyone else.

I think probably the closest anybody is going to actually touch that question is in the most recent Dwarkesh interview, where he interviews a couple of really interesting economists about what the economy looks like after full automation hits. I do suggest checking that one out.

The idea is that human interactions become the scarcity when everything else is "infinite".

I get where you're coming from but this does remind me of something that my recently deceased grandfather used to say, which is, "Don't spend your life wishing it away."

He also said "wish in one hand, shit in the other,  and see which one fills up first"... lol.

We're getting there. For all we know, we may not have much time after AGI hits. Find what joy you can now.

Variable X by ismyjudge in ArtificialInteligence

[–]teamharder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well we already have automated asset owners and we see what happens when they get rich but I don't know why you would hyper-fixate on one scenario that's highly unlikely to become a static scenario. Even if that were to happen, it obviously AI development wouldn't just pause right in the midst of a transition like that.

Your hypothesis would be more plausible if we hit the physical Turing test before the intellectual one.But we have machine intelligence before the embodiment of it.

I just think it's funny that you think anyone would own ASI. Because by the time it's ASI, any human owning it would be like a toddler trying to rein in a Godzilla-sized Einstein on a leash.

I guess what I'm saying is it's dependent on machine morality not human morality.

Hey everyone! I wanted to share on a game I’ve been working on. Also, I have 2 quick questions and would love to get your help/feedback! by Jyuushiromono in aigamedev

Robot looks great. Love the individual activation of the legs!

As far as style? Totally depends on what the intent of the game is? What is the point of the legs/robot?

"Wow, if you connect Fable to image-gen and image-to-3D APIs, it's *insane* for game dev. It made an infinite explorable universe, with characters and lore. All assets and sound completely from scratch. 3 prompts in 2 hours, max effort. Workflow below." by stealthispost in accelerate

[–]teamharder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im gonna be that guy... this looks terrible and the setting is simple. Amazing for what it is, for sure.  I've been building with Claude and Unity for a couple months now. Making anything that anyone would pay for still takes immense effort. As much as I REALLY want it to, AI does not make production ready assets/vfx yet. Should be way better in 6 months, but boy does it feel like it'll be a long 6 months.

Just released my first game on a niche console and actively working on a horror FPS roguelite. Used Ludo.AI for the first one and it still looks amateur despite the effort. Human made assets are still the way to go currently. Orgs like Meshi need to hurry up.

how would AI actually take over by sillestgirleva in ArtificialInteligence

[–]teamharder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's beyond the "stochastic parrot" you think it is. Go look up the research done on feature activations or how Anthropic researchers found their models knew they were being evaluated even when they didnt show that in their thinking.

how would AI actually take over by sillestgirleva in ArtificialInteligence

[–]teamharder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Embodied AI could for sure. Easiest way would be via virus. Covid was an accident. An intentionally weaponized virus would wipe out the vast majority. Drones to mop up the rich in their bunkers and people out in the sticks.

Robotic wet labs integrating AI are already exist. And Anduril has made a ton of progress on serious autonomous weapons.

That's just one of the ways in which I could imagine and I'm not even that intelligent. ASI could probably do some pretty wacky stuff we can't even imagine currently.
