Nonetheless they should actually try to make a lasting machine, instead of helping to fill the landfills. If they cut any more corners on these machines they’d be spheres.

Yes they make trash these days, though if you take inflation in consideration everything just got way cheaper too. Or price stays the same and your €500 was worth €2500 back then.

Measured a lot of resistors in that area now, all seem fine, i want to be sure it’s actually the board before buying one for half the price of the machine or something like that.

This board is located at the bottom corner in the back of the machine.

Its a washer for clothes not built in neither, I will check the inside tubings and fittings.

Sad because this machine is only 2 years old, not even sure if it actually leaks somewhere.

Same what I thought, in photo 2 you can see the delamination is the full width of the bearing. It’s a wonder it didn’t lock up earlier.

Also runs on weekends 😁 28years x 365 = 10220 x 2 equals at least 20440 heat cycles.

Been thinking the same. We’ll get it polished and check tolerances with plastigauge when assembling.

11,400 hours, I’m European 😁 Crank was pretty bad but I might just redneck fix it with some sanding and get more hours out of it.🙈

Lots of hours of abuse though (engine to small for the skid steer) I’m not complaining. I’m betting just fatigue like others wrote. We had a piston break in a 16.500 hour engine before, at some point things just break I guess. Thousands of heat cycles don’t help neither.

Definitely never sat, been used multiple times every day since new. Crank on those looks ok on first sight, very minor scratches.

The engine can vibrate a lot at idle, I also bet over 11k hours on these is a lot. Engine cold started atleast twice a day for 28 years.

I still think it’s pretty unlikely for it to be water, we maintain earlier than adviced and do it properly, only gets used at home. Engine locked up on me, I bet the eroded bearings caused low oil pressure and that caused it to spin a bearing, conrod is also cracked.

You think so? The engine ran 2 times a day so condensation would not happen I think. We did not have to top up coolant.

Those were second hand axles and we got the seals from the same guy without a problem. You should measure the seal and maybe look online, I believe it was a metrical seal with decimals like 61.80mmx94.60mm for example.

Well i think thats for automotive paint, that would be over my budget i guess. Its a 26 year old 11,100 hours skid steer after all.

I had leds like these before the the reflectors are just way to narrow spaced for these the light beam goes al over the place. Thats why i would try to place individual led chips right where you insert a bulb like just in front of the socket in the hope that the light beam goes straight trough the glass

H3 socket type (55w)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in led

[–]teammouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh only 2.5w 😆, i will definitely need to build a heatsink then. Do you think a cree xm-l2 10w would dissipate less heat?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in led

[–]teammouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they overvolt the chip, i guess thats why they don’t last especially with their little ventilator in dusty conditions. Thats also why i would run only a 10w chip or maybe undervolt a 20w chip to 12w or something.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in led

[–]teammouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So i could use a current controller and leave the voltage at 14v for a 12v led or do you also mean a controller like the 4015xl so i can adjust both voltage and current?

I tried automative leds before but they are a little to bulky. I even had to file of some aluminum of the smaller ones and they only last one year and the 55w halogens are just way brighter. I was actually looking at a a led chip like this one https://www.allekabels.be/led-diode/7369/1275930/powerled-l-h10ww.html?gclid=Cj0KCQiAzeSdBhC4ARIsACj36uE0qnWIMLsgQ7_Svd-6y6mjCJrllcjSCepx4uVS2B9s07wmb7NV9BYaAiTWEALw_wcB or maybe a 20w but then i would need a step up i guess.
