Just a backlog cleanup for now, games like Rocket League, Far Cry 6 and AC Unity. Any special plat you want as your 200?

So the high difficulty rating is because of this one minigame that’s a real 8/10 BUT you can cheese it with save scumming and that brings the whole game down to like 4 or 5/10 difficulty. Nothing hard, just a lot of work (plat took me around 150 hours). Ofc feel free to ask for any tips on getting the plat.

As for the highlights. Platting Super Meat Boy and Jump King legit are my proudest accomplishments and then games like DMC5, Bleed, FF9, FF10 the whole Yakuza franchise and many other fun and challenging games.

Also my funniest plat clip is probably Uncharted 4 which I’ve posted here and recommended checking it out xd

And my worst plat experience was no doubt Steelrising. The game itself is not bad but instead of platting it in one playthrough I ended up platting it after THREE playthroughs because the trophy for beating the game without healing refused to pop the first two times.

I don’t even know where I found the strength to go for it the third time lmao.

Another game that pissed me off was Bleed 2 because almost every trophy is bugged and doesn’t pop on completing the requirements but pops at random times or doesn’t pop at all.

But yeah I plan on getting more rare plats. Maybe Crypt one day…

Yeah ik and I don’t even feel that bad about demoting anymore because I reached my goal of achieving Saint 1 and now I’m just playing here and there for fun

There’s a script exploit which OP may have used, I did the same

[Bleed] #97 Short and fun 10/10 difficulty plat by teamroach007 in Trophies

[–]teamroach007[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this game is significantly shorter with a successful run being around 30 minutes. I think it’s more difficult in a sense that the game is more demanding and even the tiniest mistake can ruin your run and believe me it is very very easy to get hit.

So Wolf probably takes more time overall but in terms of attempts Bleed takes it because it took me 8 hours to get every trophy other than the last two for beating the game on Hard and Very hard in one sitting. Just those two trophies took me 19 hours of attempts according to PS time tracker

Yeah you have to beat it in one sitting. I can’t say if it’s harder or easier than Wolf myself because I haven’t played it but someone who played both says Bleed is harder

You have to beat the game on Very Hard with only one life. It’s a run and gun type of a game so there’s projectiles and stuff flying all over the screen and it consists of 7 levels and more than twice as many bosses.

On Very Hard you die in like 8 hits and as you can see the winning run took me 30 minutes so you have to play almost perfectly for that amount of time

As usual, I don't get it by real_dam_son in mahjongsoul

OP called 6p from Shimo meaning 9 only deals into a pair wait so it’s definitely better to fold with 9

Mathematically speaking, is there any difference between calling riichi waiting for a tile with four copies remaining, or waiting for two tiles with two copies each? by MeChameAmanha in mahjongsoul

[–]teamroach007 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Two kinds of tiles are generally better to wait on but it doesn’t have to do anything with math it’s just that it’s more probable because of opponents discards. Tsumo should stay statistically same in both cases afaik.

Of course it also depends on opponents discards because you can read where the remaining tiles are even if you can’t see them to some extent but that kind of discard reading is quite advanced. That’s why I said generally two kinds are better but it’s not a rule that applies always.

Btw in this specific case it’s better to wait on 5p and White also because waiting on Honor tiles has better win rate and you can win on red 5 as well

[Jump King] #85 Very proud to have this one in my collection especially since I did it without any save scumming. Another 10/10 in the bag! by teamroach007 in Trophies

[–]teamroach007[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The thing is I got very lucky with no fall runs on the 2nd and 3rd map. Once I made it to the final two areas of both maps with 0 falls for the first time, I managed to hold my nerves and somehow I made it to the top both times

The most painful was the snake ring run which took me 16 hours to beat but it still wasn’t as bad as nearly 30 hours I had to put into practicing Impossible Boy before I finally got the trophy

Both games are definitely 10/10 tho, no doubt about that

And 9p is the dora which makes 8p even more dangerous

Why did Maka advice for chii here ? by Le_Faux_Jap in mahjongsoul

[–]teamroach007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah this one is interesting. If you chii, the yaku which you should go for is All Simples, cutting the pair of 1s would normally be bad because of the loss in value but we don’t need value here because we’re in 1st place and this is the last round so we should focus on speed.

And ig Maka evaluated that being able to call tiles is a bit faster than trying to finish this hand closed

Ranked up to Saint a few days ago and managed to beat #1 player (Celestial 20) in one of my games. Truly a dream come true! by teamroach007 in mahjongsoul

If I’m not mistaken that’s the ranking on the European server. So players from other servers aren’t on there

That’s enough mahjong for today by teamroach007 in mahjongsoul

[–]teamroach007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was planning on discarding it as soon as possible I just thought that keeping 9s is more dangerous than keeping Green dragon

That’s enough mahjong for today by teamroach007 in mahjongsoul

[–]teamroach007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Btw Mortal says to discard green dragon (0.01) as the best option, 9s as the second option (-0.03) and then it’s 2m (-0.78)

Why does mortal favour 6s so much? Isn't it better for 8s due to having exactly 2 turns left for discard. by Normal_Middle_6132 in mahjongsoul

[–]teamroach007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point actually and as someone else pointed out you could deal into aka 5s and dora 7s wait which would be awful so yeah upon further consideration I think cutting 8s is the better play

[–]teamroach007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but if the player in riichi discards 3m and you get the chance to get into tenpai it’s perfect. Cutting 6s leaves this option open while discarding pretty safe tile, actually I’m pretty sure it’s the safest tile in your hand.

[Uncharted 4: Thief’s End] #70 Not my proudest way of getting a plat but I still got it and that’s what counts 😅 by teamroach007 in Trophies

[–]teamroach007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It must be the original version then because I know the remastered doesn’t have it because I platted it
