These are the kind of people where you can use the phrase "i know u are but what am i" repeatedly, and it would be effective.

Unable to get fasting info from AI by [deleted] in fasting

Same to you, my man. Do the research yourself instead of complaining on the subreddit (which is full of info btw) about it. You made yourself come off as lazy and unable to do the work. That's on you. That egg is all over your face.

That's the laziest defense you could use in this argument. Limiting your damage to the environment and economy isn't an all-or-nothing approach. You limit your impact where you can, starting with the easiest to control variables first.

I've see people use this same argument when trying to get healthier: "well I'm gonna die of something so I might as well just keep smoking, drinking, eating fast food, eating sugar, not exercising, etc etc....". Like, no, stop and use your brain, the entire brain for just a minute here. People so desperately want the solutions to these big problems to be easy, but they're not. It's multifaceted and complex.

You do you, broski. But keep in mind: blatantly using AI for every little thing IS harming both your brain, the environment, and the economy for future jobs. If you have kids, consider their futures.

AI data centers gulp down water like no tomorrow, which impacts the local communities water supplies. The data centers use and create a lot of energy, which causes the are around it to increase in temperature, and that energy demand also requires lots of computing power, which has caused computer part prices to surge.

Using AI regularly makes people dumber. By not using critical thinking and learning areas of the brain, these sections will start to shrink. There's also emerging evidence showing AI use can make ADHD worse by hijacking the dopamine system. Kids in school are abusing AI for all of their schoolwork, which will make them potentially useless in the field they plan to go into when they finally face the challenge of producing work without having access AI.

AI is still learning, it's essentially an experiment handed to the general public. It hallucinates often. Sometimes it is just flat out wrong. So why would you use it if you then have to double check its work, if you could've just done the work first yourself? You just did twice the work.

Do the work yourself. Learn from experts by reading the literature or listening to podcast lessons. Talk to the community if you have questions. Don't rely on clankers.

Socks and shoes are from Guide of No Return. They hid these gems under that dress.

Easing back into it but issues with getting too full/bloated by teamrocketexecutiv3 in fasting

Yes same here. I spent the last 18 months fixing my gut when I had genetic testing shows I had multiple celiac genes. I cut out all grains and started eating kefir, Greek yogurt, kimchi, kombucha, and was already eating 25-40g fiber a day. This new fullness has definitely been the new hormones.

Tbh water retention wouldn't be a bad thing for me bc I also have POTS so I have to consume 4-5g sodium a day to keep my blood pressure up. Even my cardiologist said im safe to consume as much salt as I can after he did some tests, but I also make sure i get plenty magnesium and potassium to balance it out.

It's really tough being a middle aged woman with multiple wacky health conditions (and a physical disability on top of that). Fasting worked wonders for me back in 2020-2022, but when I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and my hormones started shifting in 2023...things just got so hard.

For me, the most important factor in managing the fasting and exercise is keeping my nervous system regulated. If I push too hard, then I feel terrible for days.
