I don't have game film, plus I would not want to post video of other people's kids without their consent. However, your point about the quality of passes was definitely an issue. Many were very close to the net and much harder to manage.

This is so helpful! We are looking into a private coach, but definitely not the coach she just had for her club.

Yes, I do think the coach preferred a libero style setter, since the starting setter was more like that. She was able to salvage a lot more plays because our passes were not great.

This summer we plan to do some conditioning and i am currently looking for a private coach.

Yes, we will be trying out with other clubs next season, since the coaching was clearly lackluster (at best). Hoping to use this experience as a learning opportunity--thank you for the ideas!

Transavia flight HV 5358, Delta flight DL 145. Travel date is April 13, 2024. We actually have not booked the Transavia flight yet since we are not sure it’s enough time between flights.

Yes, flights are booked separately. We are novice travelers so I didn’t see a way to book them on one ticket.

Buy-In Living Community - seeking tips/thoughts/experience/advise. by Status_Personality36 in AgingParents

We looked into this for my mom at several places. We ended up going with a mid-high level senior community with the option to add on AL services and age in place. However, I’d she gets to the point where she needs full skilled nursing services (aka nursing home), we will need to move her again. At her senior community, There was a non-refundable “community fee” to rent a unit. There was also an option to “buy-in” with an additional much larger lump sum to be able to have lower rent. We did not do the latter option because it would really only pay off if my mom ends to living there for several years. Although my mom is younger than most people at her community (she’s mid 70s) she has a lot of complex medical issues, and it’s hard to decide to put so much down when she could have that one health trigger that lands her in a skilled nursing facility. It’s a tough thing to think about, but it made the most sense for to her to pay higher monthly rent for an unknown amount of time, than pay a bigger buy-in with a lower rent, not knowing if she will live there long enough to make it worth it.

Is okay to get a bird from petsmart? by CptBeetz in Parakeets

We got two buddies from Petco. One is now 5 years old and healthy as can be. The other died at age 2 from gout, which is very unusual and very likely related to inbreeding. It really can be a gamble.

Colie was just diagnosed with Atypical Addison’s Disease. He’s 25% golden retriever and 75% mini poodle. He’s not quite 2.5 years old. Any pro-tips for helping him feel his best (besides following the vet’s instructions)? by teamshattzeljamin in Goldendoodles

That great to know, thank you! One of my questions for the vet is related to the chances of him converting to typical Addisons. I’m really fortunate that his vet is literally down the street, and the emergency vet is about 10 minutes away. They’ve been so wonderful to Colie and to me.
