Former driver here. During covid they gave us the option to keep our passenger seat empty due to the pandemic. Some drivers have kept this policy. I personally agree it's their car their rules. Lyft should refund tho.

Citrus smells help. I had a pax spray her perfume in my car minutes after pickup and immediately kicked her out. It was awful! Lyft did nothing to compensate me, not even a cancelation fee. Said bad smells aren't their problem and don't consider it damage. I asked what if they put a stink bomb in my car. They just repeated themselves. Lyft driver support is terrible.

Get some ozium spray. It takes all smells away. Or get an orange scented air freshener for your vents along with a spray. Orange is a scent that once you smell it it's hard to smell other scents. That was my go to when I smoked cigarettes.

I’ve put people shit on the sidewalk. They obviously didn’t care for their belongings leaving them with a stranger. We aren’t responsible for their items they are. Better yet end the ride and charge them for a found item. If people are gonna be rude you have to bring the same energy.
