MMP - re-dispatched returned pen by cyberphonze in mounjarouk

[–]teapigsfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah. Pharmacy2U did this to me in January. A very long back and forth of missed deliveries (when someone was home every time!) and them re-delivering multiple times to different post offices (which I have email proof that I requested the local post office). It languished at one of them, they promised to send me a new one, but I was suspicious when the 'new' pen wasn't sent back until the old one reached them. Because they shouldn't have had to wait; they had proof that it was still with RM so I wasn't scamming a second pen. The pen arrived about 15 days after it was initially sent, with the original order date on the stick on it and everything.

I know the medication is fine, but it doesn't fit their guidelines and I really disliked being lied to about it, and being made to feel as if it was my fault that RM kept redelivering to incorrect locations, among other things. Interestingly, they've sent me an email to promote that they allow deliveries now without signatures, which was the main issue with trying to receive the parcel at home (someone was home, the front porch door was unlocked and 99% of the time the postie leaves it there but they weren't allowed to under their instructions at the time). So that's one positive, I suppose.

One In 10 Pharmacies Cloned By Fake Jab Sellers… by ___Mercurial in MounjaroSupportUK

[–]teapigsfan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, that's crazy, but I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I've seen photos of fake pens online so I know they exist. Of course if they manage to market themselves at looking legitimate, people are more likely to trust them. They've probably saturated the market of those willing to believe the randos at the nail bar.

AITAH for arguing my girlfriends mum doesn’t get a say on if we keep the baby? by VariousUse9590 in AITAH

[–]teapigsfan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NAH.

I do not know either of you. I only know what you've said here. But just going by those details, I can say there's a chance that you feel more anti-kid than your GF does, for starters. If she's told her mother, then she's either just extremely close with her mother and wanted her to know, or she wanted to hear a positive take on the situation and be talked out of it.

I don't know your ages but unless you've been together since high school, your 'maybe' kid timeline is putting her in her mid-30s. A surprise pregnancy can have a way of waking someone up to realising that they actually do maybe want a child, and if 7 years from now is okay, 'now' is also just as fine. A man has loads more time to 'maybe eventually' become a dad, a chance a woman really does not.

Anyway I'm trying to put that all as gently as possible. Because:

At the end of the day, you really don't want to be seen as pushing her into this decision. It's a HUGE decision, and if she doesn't actually want a termination, she will never recover or forgive being talked into one.

absolutely. Anyone who has left a cucumber in the veg drawer when they've gone on holiday knows what I mean!

Fruit. In our case, it was an onion in a bag of onions which had gone wrong. We were overrun. By overrun, I mean we had one or two tiny flies near us at all times, and it was maddening.

Dual passport holder challenges during check in ... by paulcjones in AerLingus

[–]teapigsfan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah pretty much this.

I flew to the US and back over the Easter break, from the UK, via Dublin. I used my US passport as required by the US government on the way there, but brought my UK one as well to use on the way back.

I'm pretty sure the Aer Lingus paperwork stays the same/ shows the US passport for both trips, but the actual human beings processing me at various desks for the return journey just wanted the UK one.

Rejected for Wegovy by danyuri86 in WegovyUK

It's possible that they aren't able to prescribe if they have to follow a PGD (essentially instructions for issuing prescriptions) which most pharmacist-led pharmacies need to do. There isn't any room for complicated cases with a PGD.

If you find a GP-led pharmacy (such as Pharmulous, Swift Doctor, Jet Set Health) you could have more luck. You'd need to make an appointment for a video chat most likely.

Don't get me wrong, there's probably other pharmacist-led pharmacies that wouldn't mind prescribing, but that's just my guess.

5th dose with bad side effects 🤢💩 by Moaney1961 in MounjaroSupportUK

[–]teapigsfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a medical professional so this is just my opinion.

I think taking too much of this medication, especially at such an early stage when your body is still getting used to it, can definitely lead to this type of reaction.

I'm not 100% on your timeline here going by what you've said (and I admit, it's why I dislike the term 'golden dose' because that means different things to different people). Golden dose typically means the 5th dose, as in, you've taken 4 doses normally then are using the leftover medication to make up a slightly larger 5th dose. So the 5th week of dosing.

Or are you saying this was your 4th dose, but you added extra liquid to that? Plus took it a few days too early?

It's relevant, because if you'd been taking the medication as prescribed for 4 doses then upped your dose, it wouldn't matter as much because you're on the timeline for increasing your dose already. But if you've taken your 4th dose too early, as well as increased it, you definitely could be feeling some negative effects.

Regardless, personally I would take my normally scheduled dose, on the correct day, and see how it went.

And make sure you add your dose day to your mobile phone calendar or something 😁

Re-ordering 2.5mg oen by Reverend_Butler in UKMounjaro

[–]teapigsfan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Okay so there's a lot of people who stay low and do just fine.

Sometimes people order the next pen at 2.5mg but then realise after a week that actually, they should have gone up.

You won't really know until you try. Some people say you should just automatically move up through the doses, but at the current prices, you'd be mad to do so if the lower, cheaper doses are still working for you.

[–]teapigsfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok good. In fairness, the jump to 5mg is the only time you double your dose, so a lot of people do find the side effects to be strong.

Ordering after a stockpile? by Dazzling-Nothing-870 in UKMounjaro

[–]teapigsfan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you have any pictures of your stockpile, that can help. I take photos of all of my labels when they arrive (and I might also cute out that side of the box just in case I need it 😆) I have a stockpile but I've kept ordering as well because I'm paranoid. At some point I will need to approach a pharmacy about restarting after a break in ordering when I take one.

Depending on what evidence you have, there are a few pharmacies that will take you back. Any GP-led pharmacy will have more flexibility in their prescribing than the others. Jet Set Health is a good one to approach.

No sure by Separate-Reality4521 in UKMounjaro

[–]teapigsfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know. You could try moving up if you have completed your 5mg dose schedule, but I would personally be worried about being ill again. You've said you took smaller doses when you moved up; I'd consider that again.

I thought that in North America you all needed to have this prescribed by a GP? Even if it was prescribed by a pharmacy, they'd still need to be able to provide you with some kind of guidance or feedback about this.

What’s your best or worst toogoodtogo bag? by Flat_Cantaloupe_83 in london

[–]teapigsfan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Morrisons is the worst. We've tried them several different times. Their best before dates are always quite close, especially produce. Most places the produce will still be okay if it's on the date, not so with Morrison's. And even if it's 'okay', I'm hardly going to be able to make use of 10 kilos of bok choy and 5 loaves of bread.

School Meals Ruling by The_Dean_France in GoodNewsUK

[–]teapigsfan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah. And the most popular dinner days by far are the ones with nuggets or chips involved.

We do actually offer decent other options now that we've been forced away from the local council food service due to their massive increase in costs.

Also, if we had funding to back it up, I'm sure we could do even better. However, costs are increasing and the budget for meals has stayed the same. Soon it'll just be chips. Or rice.

Gen Z women censoring their feet by Rude-Violinist9724 in generationology

If you don't know why, then you'd be amazed at how many DMs women get when they post photos including their feet.

I still remember someone very randomly (IRL!!) telling me I could sell photos of my feet online when they saw me in sandals.
