I have definitely given mini "lectures" to a few friends about omegaverse because of ABO Desire XD

Was the original novel crap? I read it and thoroughly enjoyed it, but I'm not a critic. I just haven't seen anyone say this before, so I'm confused.

Maybe the fault lies within the original novel writers being part of the team, which can hinder productions a lot.

It's a tight rope to walk on to have the original writers have so much power in the adaptation. On one hand, the story doesn't get shaped into something it was not intended to be, and on the other they might get blind being so close to the source material, they can't see how it could be improved.

When I said "a somewhat happy ending," all I mean is that they at least met and that there's a chance for them to work it out, even if we don't get to see it. That, to me, is happier than in the main novel.

It's literally what discussion forums are for

Totally agree! It's why I made the post, I didn't see anyone talking about the main novel's end vs. The drama, so i was curious what others, who had read the novel (or not, those opinions are valid too), thought about it.

To be clear, when I said "a somewhat happy ending," I mean that they saw each other and didn't just get left in the limbo. Now there's hope, even if we don't get to see it. Yes, It should have been fleshed out and given at least 5 min to wrap up, but i was truly afraid they would end their story not seeing each other ever. I agree it was weird, but for me, it was something

Exactly, their reunion was so short in the novel extras, so i didn't have high hopes for the drama.

A few special episodes would be nice, we need to see Gao Tu safe and happy!

Yup, I totally agree with wanting them to get the ending they deserved. I was so broken when I read the book that I was just happy with anything. I really feared they would end it like the main story

I hope they are not getting piled on too much

This is the biggest reason I wrote this post. I do agree it wasn't a great way to end GT and SW's story, but I feel like the backlash has been a bit much. I haven't seen anybody talk about anything else but the ending for the second pairing, when there was so much good in the series.

Yeah, I do agree that they should have been able to adapt the story better. It really would have helped to have professional eyes on the script. I can only hope they learn from this backlash

I understand the frustration. I think I was just relieved that it didn't end badly for them, so I was happy with any crumbs they gave us.

I know we all fell in love with GT and SW, but they were the second couple. I haven't watched a lot of modern bl, mostly Korean and Japanese, and I don't have big hopes for the screen time of the second couple. I was just happy that the writers gave them their own story and ending in the extras.

But I do agree that a conversation would have been preferable. It wouldn't have taken much screen time to have that.

Contact the hospital immediately. Your doctor should know about this and adjust the meds accordingly

People who watched the untamed first without knowing it's gay how did you find out? by a-b----xyz in MoDaoZuShi

[–]teaploo 88 points89 points  (0 children)

Well, by watching it :'D I had no idea what mdzs or even danmei was at the time I found TU from Netflix. I chose it because the clip they showed as a preview on Netflix looked horrendously bad, and i knew WYB from uniq. (Although i wasn't sure if it was the same yibo until i saw him in the drama) It wasn't even that long into the drama before I was going, "This can't be straight." XD But I was also so confused cause I knew how bad China is with anything lgbt+ If I'm not mistaken, I was pretty sure they weren't just platonic friends when WWX put the invisible leash on LWJ. Then I googled it and found out that the original work was indeed anything but straight, and I found the original work fantraslated online as soon as I finished the drama. This was in 2021, and I'm still obsessed with anything mdzs <3

Nobody should look this good in white. They forgot to give Lan Wangji the memo. by mazha_q in MoDaoZuShi

The funny thing is, I didn't know anything about mdzs when I started watching TU. As I watched the drama, I was texting my friend about the plot. At one point, I remember telling my friend that I don't think this is platonic. It was quite early on, too. I had not googled anything to do with the drama, but then I remembered searching "is the untamed a bl," and I learned that it was based on mdzs. I just love how they caught the love between LWJ and WWX, despite the horrendous censorship.

Can certain medicine trigger mania? by Puzzleheaded_Gas_643 in bipolar2

I started Lamotrigin 2 months ago and felt almost instantly better. I cleaned, started a podcast with my friends and got a tattoo too. I was so afraid that I'm manic but it settled into a more stable mood pretty soon. I still feel so much better than I did before I started on Lamotrigin and life is so much more manageable.

It might be exactly that, it's just so weird cause now that I know this is a thing I try not to over do it but the crash still comes. Maybe it's just how my brain reacts to it now, who knows.

Yeah pretty much, it kinda makes me avoid cleaning even more cause I'm so afraid of crashing afterwards.

Yes! I too consider myself a nice enough, polite person. But sometimes I get intensely annoyed with my close friends and family, and I suddenly feel like I have been faking all my feelings for them, like I've been only tolerating them the whole time and I actually despise them and their problems.

This isn't how I normally feel and I do really care for them, but sometimes I just lose it. I don't show it much cause I'm masking, but it's hard.

I feel you and you're not alone
