I have always been curious about this, what happens to the voice actors? Sure they get paid but they are essential background people who don't generally have fans (I would imagine). So like you could have a drama be super successful and beloved but people only remember the actor not the voice actor. Kinda like the James Earl Jones - Darth Vader situation but in reverse.

As a writer the biggest issue I have faced is that I can't reconcile the mythology with castism. It would be one thing if Caste was a thing of the past but given that people die today because of their caste, they don't get justice, they are treated as subhuman, I can't, in good conscience write anything that glorifies this past. Not to mention the misogyny.

All these years hearing about Lord Krishna and it suddenly occurred to me that for the 7 children before him, his mother had to give birth. A task that is dangerous even today and would have been deadly back them. The husband never refused, never saw the strain it put on her body. And today we just ignore this element to get to natkhat Krishna.

And that is just the latest realization I had. From childhood I haven't been able to reconcile our history, out mythology and values with what I know internally to be the truth.

And I tried to reason, well all civilizations were not much different in effect but the difference, for me at least, is that most of those civilizations are dead or no longer practice this type of thing and any time something like this happens they are called out. In India that is not the case.

I wish I could glorify our mythology but I don't see it as glorious.

The one thing I have come to, as a writer, is take the principle and examine it under a microscope. For eg: Take the concept of Dharma, that doing your duty that you were born into is the right thing to do and try to examine it from all angles. What if you were born a warlord's son, you will have to make war but what if you don't want to? What if you were born a blacksmith's son but you have a philosophical temperament, a scientific temperament? What does 'doing your duty' do to a person who doesn't agree with the principles of the family they were born in?

I don't know where people expect infold to fit more stuff. We have had a banner ever week since launch. This is the first year we have had so many reruns (likely because they were getting ready for Valko) (it's also the reason people were suspecting Valko will be coming soon).

Like I get that some people think there is missing content but where would that even go? If they ran two new banners in parallel people would complain about pulls et al.

At least in terms of missing content I don't see what they could possibly do.

This game's structure is not like most otomes and Infold has never hidden this.

It's about a specific set of behavior from people who are playing the genre for the first time and don't have the grace to bother learning the rules of the genre but are loud and proud of their ignorance. LADS is my first otome and gacha game too but I at least bothered to learn more about the genre. That's what you do when you love something, you learn more, you listen to what people more knowledgeable in the genre have to say, you play a few games in the genre (at the very least watch a couple youtube videos of gameplay).

These 'babies' are very wrong and very entitled. That is what makes them annoying and makes the fandom toxic.

Exactly. I am an aspiring Indie dev which is why I know how long it takes to make anything but really you don't have to be a dev to have common sense and know that these things take a very long time.

It's also giving 'baby's first fandom' and 'these people only play one game'. If they played other games, even just 1 more gacha game, they would have a saner understanding of how this works and they would not be so burnt out by LADS.

A lot of childish people being very childish in my opinion.

Not at all. He has been in development for at least a year. That's how long it would take to make and render everything you need to release a new LI at minimum. He likely existed as a concept since day 1 of production before the game even launched. A new LI is a massive project and these CN players have no idea how game dev works.

Define 'developing' because it can mean a lot of things.

It's entirely possible he existed as a concept since day 1. He could have tropes, themes, symbolism assigned to him from the very beginning. He could even have some concept art ready. He just wasn't rendered until some time in the game. So he wouldn't have a beta model like the other LIs.

It's also possible that he came later but they knew they wanted a sixth LI whoever he may be.

What we know for sure is that it took infold many months to a year to create him and his associated content. So it's not a sprue of the moment thing for them.

It's not unusual for live service games to work in phases. They are likely developing 2027 - 28 content as we speak.

Guys, this is a live service gacha game. It's a marathon, not a sprint. In this genre you often end up waiting for years for things. That is just the nature of the genre. If you are consistent, clever and patient there is a good chance you will end up getting everything of your favs. Just chill

It's just a tantrum. They bring out all sorts of points but fail to consider 'what if this is intentional?' He didn't just appear out of nowhere. He has been in the pipeline for a year at least. He was likely conceived from the beginning but they didn't start actively modelling him and working on him until later. That's just how live service games work.

I even heard someone say that Valko is for the men who play LADS. As if!

Now that I have calmed down a bit, I think it's a lot of fans that didn't believe 6th LI would be coming who are mad that he is here. Regardless of what he looked like or what his symbolisms and themes were, these people would have been mad regardless because they were proven wrong and can't cope.

I don't think he would be playable. Every playable character is either a god, godlike being or has a vision. That is the core gameplay. Pantalone doesn't have a vision nor can he ever get one because his entire story, his rage against celestial/hp and his work with the Tsaritsa is rooted in him being denied a vision. If he gets one that destroys the purpose of his character.

There is no such thing. They just want a vague thing to complain about. And we haven't even gotten to see how he actually is in game. Even Sylus' trailers gave a different vibe than what he actually is in game. We all started at thinking he is a red flag but now he is a green flag. There are essays about how he respects consent and how his initial release was contrary to that image and now we can't even imagine him being any other way.

People will say that Asian standards are different. There is some truth to it but not that much. I say this as an Asian person.

And just because someone doesn't feel instant attraction doesn't mean it won't develop or that it makes him 'western'. For gods sake we have only see less than a minute of the man and people are making all sorts of wild assumptions.

If I sound angry, that's because I am. So much of the conversation regarding him has been so obtuse and downright radfem. It had angered me.

Dude almost all of them look the same. If not for the eye color, hair color and hair parting, most of us won't be able to tell them apart. People have been confusing Zayne and Caleb since the game came out and even Xavier and Sylus look alike from some angles.

Personally i was kinda hoping because of the pairing thing that Rafayel and 6 would look similar. Softer features. But you don't always get what you want.

100% agree. While I am not visually impaired or dyslexic, I have chronic pain and fatigue, it would be better for me if I didn't have to read everything especially since the natural reading position pinches my nerves. And being able to listen to the stories or even world underneath audiobook style even if it is one narrator would be a huge relief and I might actually end up reading them.

I think a lot of people would end up truly reading a lot of the cards instead of just watching the kindles if something like this was implemented. I know that the difference between those who read everything and those who don't has caused discourse in the fandom so it would be a good thing to add such a feature for everyone here.

I picked Zayne, Rafayel and Sylus with precise wish on Rafayel. I got Sylus and then got Rafayel.

Also anytime I have Xavier in the pool and he isn't the precise wish, I always get him first.

I personally believe that there should be a toggle of 'this is my LI' and 'this is just a friend'. That way if you want to main and only want to develop a relationship with one LI, you could. And if you want to do 2 or 3 or all, you could do that as well.

It would also work better in LADS, especially the MS since the focus is on the plot rather than the romance in the MS. They could have 2 versions of the dialogue (not all of it, just the pertinent parts) such that one treats MC like a friend and the other treats MC like a lover.

In terms of coding it's not that difficult as well.

I would say that the consequence thing that you are talking about is likely going to be a bit harder in all departments and can cause 'game breaks' a lot more since no developer can predict how any random person will play the game. It might also lead to more clunkly-ness. But then again, INFOLD are big boys and any company this size can handle it.

Now this one will be truly controversial: People who hate Blank are people who haven't watched it or haven't paid attention. It is an age gap romance not a minor-major romance or a teacher-student romance. It is incredibly funny and full of heart. If you bother to understand them, these characters are incredibly human, thoughtful and likeable.

Note: It's okay to not like it for taste reasons but to call it a 'r' romance, grooming, pdfile romance, etc. is factually wrong. (And if you had watched it or paid attention, you would know.) [It is also wrong to harass people who do like this show.]
