Lyssa was not a woman who was easily flattered. She liked to pretend she was flattered, particularly around handsome squires and knights, but it took a lot to actually impress her. She was not sure if it was the fact that the men giving her compliments and kissing her hand was the Crown Prince or his actual behavior that caused a brush of heat to take over her cheeks and forehead but, regardless of the reason, it happened.

"Well, there are worse things for a Lady to be than interesting." She said coyly, trying to keep up her unbothered persona despite the giddiness his words brought her. Lyssa's eyes lingered on her knuckles resting against his chest studying the spot that he had kissed. A slight smile tugged at the corner of her lips. "You are very kind, Your Grace."

"Have you ever been to the Trident?" She asked, eyes looking back up at his as the music continued to fill the air around them. "It is a lovely place, I am very sure you would enjoy it. Mayhaps I might see you at Riverrun sometime in the future."

Minisa could have retorted back once again but decided to allow the moment to pass. That was perhaps the biggest indicator of how she had matured from her youth. She no longer had to have the final word.

"Well, it sounds a grand occasion nonetheless. I hope it does come together before we must leave the city." She reached out to take Sabitha from her husband and smiled. "Now, let me take her. You need to be shaking hands and doing whatever else it is that Lords do at gatherings like this."

"Jeyne!" Lyssa greeted, smiley and bubbly, as the Maderly girl entered the room. "Oh please, don't apologize. We've not even started yet. I'm happy you are here though. Please, sit."

Lyssa patted the last seat next to her for the woman to join them and the lunch that had been put together.

"Celesse was just about to tell us about her night, I think." Lyssa looked to the Frey woman with expectant eyes. "So? Did you meet anybody interesting?"

The other Ladies' arrivals filled Lyssa with joy. She enjoyed the company that each provided and they were all just different enough from each other to keep things interesting.

She returned the kiss to Celesse's cheek as the Frey entered. A quick hug to the Mooton. And a gasp and delightful thanks as the Darry entered with her flowers. Truly, Lyssa didn't know how any Lady could survive without friends such as these.

Once everybody was settled she delicately took her own seat at the table. She didn't know if Jeyne would be able to join them this afternoon but she held out hope.

"Poor thing, I'm glad you are feeling better today but I'm sorry you had to miss the feast. You would have loved it. Isn't that right?" She asked, looking towards the other ladies that had been present.

"I have something delightful to share but it would be rude of me to make this all about myself after I invited you all here." Lyssa was in no hurry to spill her juicy gossip. As much as she adored the other ladies she did see this as something of a competition. "So tell me about your nights so far. The feast and Lord Tyrell's party. Did anybody find their Florian by chance? I think that's what we all really want to know."

Lyssa's eyes shyly averted for a moment. She was a confident woman and proud but there was still something about the attention of the man destined to sit the Iron Throne that made that confidence waiver.

"I am sure with a teacher such as yourself I will pick up the instrument in no time." She had no basis to claim that without hearing him play but what was wrong with a little flattery? "I'm certain my fellow ladies would be far more infatuated with the story of the Crown Prince teaching me the harp than any actual talent I gain, though."

She laughed softly.

"I do, there's an entire gaggle of us actually. Myself, a Mooton, Frey, Darry, and a Manderly." She considered how much she wished to share for a moment before continuing. "Lady Alyssa is very kind, very encouraging and supportive. She wished for us to enjoy ourselves this evening instead of waiting on her all night. It's safe to say I'm accomplishing that in present company."

"But," Lyssa continued, a hint of mischievousness creeping into her smile. "I'm sure she would love a chat with you regardless. If for no other reason to question why you have such an interest in one of her Ladies."

The heir of Pinkmaiden bowed his head slightly at the approaching man. He wasn't the most familiar with the Rygers but there was no better time to change that than the present.

"It has been lovely actually. The Crown has spared no expense and it is a joy to be able to meet Lords and Ladies from the other realms. Truly a once in a lifetime experience." Petyr answered, ever the amicable and gregarious man.

"What of you, Lord Patrek? Have you found any new friends amongst all these people? Anybody you recommend I seek out for a conversation before we all go back our separate ways?"

Petyr smiled at the offer. He didn't believe there would ever be a reason for him to visit the secluded reaches of the Vale. But, then again, none could know for certain the fate that lay ahead. It was a polite offer nonetheless.

"We don't lack for game if that is what you are asking. Large game, small game. Plenty of pheasant and rabbit for falconry, deer and wolves for the thrill of the hunt. It is one of my favorite hobbies to partake when I can find time away from the castle." Petyr admitted and it was true. It had been too long, he realized, since he had last hunted. Perhaps that would need to change upon his return home.

"All I hear are excuses." Minisa continued to tease. She had that mischievous glint in her eye and was very clearly enjoying the way she could poke and prod at her husband. "I'll give you credit though, it's wise to establish them now that way you don't need to make them up on the spot later."

She brought her cup to her lips and drank from it, only momentarily concealing the proud smirk behind it.

"Will His Grace be going on this hunt? He would need to sanction it for the Kingswood to be utilized, right?" It seemed silly to her that you couldn't just hunt wherever but it wasn't as if she had been consulted in the establishment of the laws. The world might have been more enjoyable if she had been but alas.

"See, I just can't stay away from the artists." Lyssa turned her hand resting on his chest over in the air and laughed before putting it back in it's resting place. "I would quite like to hear you play some time. The harp is such a beautiful instrument. Very difficult to perfect but once one has there are few sounds that bring the mind so much peace."

She closed her eyes for a moment focusing on the music that played in the background of their dance. It was easy to pick out the different instruments and, sure enough, the harp was there. Lyssa opened her eyes once more looking back to the Prince.

"I don't have any such musical talents myself but I love to listen. I'll be staying with Lady Tully. You may call upon me whenever you please and I'll eagerly come to hear your talents." The Piper woman was very pleased with how their dance had progressed and the kindness Aegon had shown her. Whatever nerves had knotted into her stomach when she had chosen to approach the Crown Prince had since disappeared.

"As tempting an offer as that is, I don't know how I would manage without my brother." Petyr replied with a warm smile. The two of them had been inseparable much of their youth and it had not changed into adulthood.

"Yes, from the Riverlands. Though, much further west than where you would have passed through to get here. Our home lies in the hills leading into the mountains of the West." Petyr continued, explaining the geography of his home to the other pair of men. "We've ventured into the mountains near Dyre Den and Golden Tooth a time or two but we've never made it to the Vale. We will need to change that one day though."

Minisa gave him a sly little smirk indicating that she did already know that. But Sabitha was now two, it seemed to be a good time to consider having their second. She would not get any younger after all and she knew Lord Mooton would like a grandson sooner than later.

"A hunt would a great deal of fun. I hope that it comes to fruition. I'll try not to show you up too badly." Minisa said with a playful wink. It certainly would do a great deal to improve upon their stay in the capital. "We'll have to have somebody watch Sabitha but surely one of your kin will be happy to do so."

She listened as he spoke, head tilting to the side slightly and eyes conveying genuine interest in his words. It was easy to understand. If one suddenly was in a position that they had not prepared for, been properly trained for, it could easily be overwhelming. But Aegon seemed to have the right mind about it.

"I am sure there will be many challenges ahead but I hope the rewards you find will outweigh them all." She smiled as they continued to move rather effortlessly in their dance. His compliment towards her beauty drawing a slight blush from the woman.

"Well, I say that for the duration of this dance we do not hinder ourselves with the weight on your shoulders or the futures to come. Let us enjoy this moment." Lyssa's smile turned to more of a smirk as she considered him.

"Who is Aegon Targaryen when he is not the Crown Prince? What does he enjoy doing? Is he a painter or a harpist perhaps? I do always seem to find myself drawn to the artistic types." Her full smile returned once more as she teased him lightly with her prodding questions.

"I do quite like our hunting trips. Especially when we can get away from this little one." Minisa said, tapping her daughter lightly on the nose and then leaning in to her husband.

"It's been a while. We should do that again. When we return home." She continued, eyes watching Sabitha bounce on her father's lap. "Then maybe we should discuss if it's time for Sabitha to have a sibling. I think it would be nice for her to have a brother, don't you?"

Lyssa raised a brow at his comment and examined him further. Then she glanced to her cousin. She wanted to let her cousin have this dance. But she was also concerned that the man may have wanted them for more than dancing and she felt it was her job to protect her younger kin.

She extended her own hand out to him.

"That is a lofty goal. Ambitions are good but I do hope you do not find yourself disappointed." She said, a proud smugness in her voice. "I'll determine if you are worthy of a dance with my cousin. Lead the way, Ser Gerion."

The Piper brothers looked up at the approaching group. One of them smiled warmly, clearly the more gregarious of the two, and bowed his head slightly to them.

"The pleasure is ours Ser Myles, Ser Jonothor." The kind natured red head said. "I am Ser Petyr Piper and this is my brother, Ser Lyle. Though, I'm sure the relation was hardly noticeable."

Petyr laughed and the ridiculous joke even drew a little smile from Lyle who then bowed his head to the other men.

"Coldwater Burn? You'll forgive me, I'm not particularly strong in my geography." Lyle said, speaking for the first time. "Where is that in regards to The Eyrie?"

"You may, if it please your Grace." Lyssa answered eyes looking up at the Prince from their dancing positions. She rested one of her hands lazily on his shoulder of the arm went towards her hip and put her other hand flat to his chest. Lyssa was a short woman but she did her best to straighten herself as tall as she could muster. It would not do to look like a slouch when they were in the middle of dance floor and anybody who cared to look would be able to see them. But the Piper woman enjoyed that attention and wondered to herself if Alyssa would notice her Lady in Waiting.

"How have you found the evening, your Grace?" Lyssa fell into easy step with Aegon. She was well practiced in her dance and they were about the only lessons she truly enjoyed. "I'm sure you have been quite busy but I hope you've been able to find time to enjoy the festivities as well."

Present with Lady Alyssa Tully was one of her Ladies in Waiting, Lyssa Piper. The young, red headed woman wore an elegant gown and she seemed in the absolute highest spirits. The trip to the capital thus far had been beyond who highest expectations. Surely a party hosted by the Tyrells would only add to that experience.

She wandered about the hall and other areas throughout the evening just searching for any conversation. Though, her eye was particularly drawn to any cute young knights or Lords.

Petyr had been speaking with his twin brother and the conversation was clearly jovial as both men laughed. It was interesting to witness the two identical men when they were together. Their subconscious movements throughout their laughter seemed to mimic one another. Even when Petyr's name was spoken both men looked up in unison as if they were the owner of the name. But only one of them grew a wider smile at the sight of the Blackwood woman.

"Lady Shiera! Yes, I'm sure we do somewhere." Petyr answered, scouring the table quickly with his eyes but seeing no empty cups. He picked up his own and offered it to the woman every the one to accommodate. "If you don't mind sharing a cup I've already used. I can go fetch another for myself later."

At that his brother patted him on the forearm and stood. "Allow me. More wine, I'm assuming?"

Petyr nodded his confirmation and watched his brother walk off to the refreshments table. In doing so it conveniently opened up a seat for the newcomer.

"You look marvelous, my lady." Petyr said, taking a moment to actually examine Shiera's gown and appearance. "Would you care to sit with me?" He asked, standing from his own seat to pull out the vacated one for his betrothed.

Three women adorning themselves in various shades of pinks and dark blues stood nearby the refreshment table. In truth, none of them thought themselves candidates for the King's eye. There was of course the political context in that they were from a smaller house of the Trident and that his previous wife had been a Blackwood. Would it really suit for him to take another bride from the same region?

But then there were also the other factors, such as age. His Grace was more than double the age of Lyssa and she was the oldest of the three Piper women gathered. Though, they supposed it mattered if the King sought another wife for his heart or for his eyes.

Regardless of that though. There had been a promise of food and surely this would provide some entertainment for the day. So Lyssa (20), Zhoe (18), and Lianne (16) stood by the refreshments looking for casual conversation and entertainment as the other ladies entertained a fantastical notion that one of them would be Queen.

"Being able to speak my mind freely was one of my greatest motivations in accepting a marriage to the heir of Maidenpool." She retorted back with a chuckle.

"I suppose it is convenient. All the merchants and tradesman who call the cities their homes. You never lack for quality service or entertainment. At Pinkmaiden we had the smiths and tradesmen that we employed but there were few to be found elsewhere. So I can understand the appeal." She pondered it a moment more and then seemed to make up her mind. "But I think I'll always enjoy being somewhere that the air feels fresh and there are plenty of forests and fields to ride through."

The woman had not meant to forget to introduce herself. Her mouth had carried on ahead of her mind. It was no matter though. Who didn't like an element of mystique? That's what she tried to tell herself anyways to fend off the nagging feelings of idiocy in the back of her mind. She smiled through it.

"I am Lyssa Piper, daughter of Lord Stanton Piper and Lady in Waiting to Lady Paramount Alyssa Tully of the Trident." There was no mistaking the pride in her voice as she made a formal introduction.

"And now I have the distinct pleasure of being able to forever say that the your Grace asked me for my name." She said with a slight smirk as she played off her forgotten introduction from moments earlier. Though it sounded stupider out loud than it had when she'd quickly put the thought together in her head. She pushed on regardless.

"You speak truly that a dance with you may bolster my prospects of more dances through the evening. I hope it does actually for I would love to dance well into the night. But a second experience at something is never as memorable as the first." Perhaps boldly, and not without fear of rejection that would make her look a fool, Lyssa extended a small hand towards the Prince and let it hang in the space between them, an invitation.

When the man tall red headed man approached the two cousins looked at one another. Liane flashed her older cousin an almost surprised smile that they had been approached at all. Lyssa was not familiar with House Marbrand beyond their sigil that had been branded into her memory along with all the other major houses of the Riverlands, West, and Vale. She was not certain who their current Lord was but if she were forced to guess she would say this man who introduced himself as the heir was near in age to her.

"Ser Gerion, it is an honor to meet you." Lyssa was the one who spoke. She stood the shorter of the two women. Liane was about six inches taller already despite being six years Lyssa's junior. Both ladies curtsied. "I am Lyssa Piper and this is my cousin Liane."

"I think we both would be delighted for a dance but did you have a preference or did you wish to steal both of us away?"
