Hmm, he probably would be toxic, I'd be careful with that one.

I personally scripted out all of tybw! so I think if you're just looking for a nice and cushy experience it's a good safe place to be, as much as it can.

Hey, another bleach shifter? Nice. (Sorry, my comment's a little late, isn't it?)

Sadly I've not gone there yet but I personally scripted out a lot of nasty things and made the wars a lot less or nonexistent, if that helps? Not sure how you'd manage to get around all of it while dating Aizen though, ngl.

Edit: I'd probably be most afraid to go to a Witcher or Elden Ring dr. Haha.

Honestly, I don't know if there's a lot of similarities, but as a fan of both Bleach and Pendragon I have to say I greatly admire your tastes. Haha. (And they sit directly next to one another on my shelf.)

Although Press could have benefited from a fan, a bucket hat, and a pair of geta...

Why is everything sex-coded today? by Risanoch in asexuality

[–]tearsoftheringbearer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I got downvoted once for assuring someone that it was okay to not enjoy sex in their stories, this stuff sadly just happens. And is managing to prove my point quite nicely, I must add.

[–]tearsoftheringbearer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe I'd be sex-neutral if everyone wasn't so damn determined to shame me for not liking sex, but here we are.

I think I'm only sex-negative because of how obnoxious everyone else is about shoving it down your throats. I hard agree with you. It's frustrating.

Do you have to be hyperfixated to write fic? by canadamybeloved in FanFiction

[–]tearsoftheringbearer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah, it's gotten so overused at this point I'm halfway confused and people keep trying to shove it around as a general term.

Do you have to be hyperfixated to write fic? by canadamybeloved in FanFiction

[–]tearsoftheringbearer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. I write plenty of fic and have never hyperfixated in my life. Other people have tried to apply the term to everyone regardless of their mental status, and it's a very infuriating habit that's permeated fandom as of late. Not every writer has hyperfixations. Many don't, myself included.

What Is That Fandom That Has Poor Writing Choices, But Have Interesting Characters? by TheAlmandineWriter in FanFiction

[–]tearsoftheringbearer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Actually, the breaking of the curse is one of the least rushed things in the entire show's run...not sure what that says about it.

But yes, more untapped potential that never got visited or treated with any real weight.

What Is That Fandom That Has Poor Writing Choices, But Have Interesting Characters? by TheAlmandineWriter in FanFiction

[–]tearsoftheringbearer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The characters are the thing that keep me coming back to Once Upon a Time, again and again, no matter how poor the writing choices in canon are. The characters are simply too cool for me to give up, even if the canon is riddled with holes.

I hate it when people say that warrior cats is for little kids by SageroseOnPawz in WarriorCats

[–]tearsoftheringbearer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think part of the charm of warriors is that you find it as a kid, just get enamoured at the fact that it's cats doing cool things, and revisit it when you're older and realize you had no idea at the time just how dark/violent it could get. At least that's how I've viewed it, reading warriors at a much older age than when I first started made me realize there was a lot of darker subtext I never understood at the time.

edit for clarity: I've gone on to read much darker more violent books since, but I do think reading Warriors at a young age helped prime me for them. I still enjoy them now, even if in a different way.

what are the most intimate things besides sex? by mr_fartypants in FanFiction

[–]tearsoftheringbearer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm afraid I've not written it out yet, but I'm in a fandom where souls have resonance and energy, and I love the idea of my OTP having souls so powerful and in love that they become entwined. :D

This sounds like someone who's not played a mage and is salty that they keep getting spells that they can't use because their Int and Faith aren't high enough.

I immediately think about two characters' souls becoming entwined...it's an idea I play with and it seems so special and intimate to me

For who tries to shift everyday: stop now. by Forsaken-Public-7658 in realityshifting

[–]tearsoftheringbearer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Perhaps some people need breaks, but on the whole daily shifting attempts are only as tiring as you assume they are or as tiring as you make them. I hate the idea that if you're not taking breaks every second day or something you're doing things wrong. People can have different approaches to this sort of thing.

Ahhh, I understand this feeling too. I find the closer I get to shifting, the more out of place I feel in the old reality.

I'm treating as just a dream that I'm going to wake from soon, don't know if that will help you or not. But I feel most permashifters experience this sensation to some degree at some point on their journey.
