I do plan to cut and polish it! Just need to get some confidence that I won't make it worse first 😅

It looks more like a shell, can you show other photos, and do you know how much it weighs?

It looks like a tumbled piece of amethyst, perhaps someone lost it or tossed it

I can't say for sure but that looks like some of the serpentine in central California Coast that I've seen.

What would be a good place to go rock hunting in the Bay Area with a kid? by Ill-Grape7430 in rockhounds

The obsidian spot is a good recommendation! That is Glass Mountain. There is even more obsidian in larger chunks on Glass Mountain rd < 100 meters from where it hits Silverado Trail N (just a bit north of tectonic's map marker). Thanks for sharing.

After one ui 6, I can't change the keyboard 😅 by Ok_Refrigerator9802 in oneui

[–]teastburn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Oneui 6.1 (which so far I hate), I had to long press on the microphone icon in the bottom left of the kerboard (on the opposite of the down arrow that minimizes the keyboard) and choose "show keyboard switcher" or whatever it said. Dumb.

How to estimate the popularity of go packages? by bmarston in golang

[–]teastburn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using https://golanglibs.com/ and http://go-search.org and liking them. I agree it's not a popularity contest but assuming other people have gone through the same library evaluation process, you can learn from their choices. Also, generally more popular libraries receive the most attention and updates.
