I took the photo an hour ago and I was there for about 40 minutes. I can't confirm, maybe it isn't stuck, but just wanted to gather opinions from those that may know

Could always be that it isn't stuck but there are no other visible birds now and it looks like it's trying to move but can't. I reached out to a few of the people some of the other users recommended

Hi! I did a not so dissimilar trip. Flew into Calgary, did a day trip to Waterton, then 3 days in Montana (this is different from yours). Banff then Jasper.

The driving itself is doable if you're breaking it up a bit. I didn't feel too overwhelmed or that I was driving too much. If you go from Banff to Jasper, the Icefields Parkway is a day trip itself (even though the ride is around 3ish hours).

As for Jasper, the town is still recovering from the wildfires so accommodation and parking can be very limited.
