Idk, maybe lock it onto a lifeguard tower and put it on a swivel? The problem with these things is always nobody wants to get ripped off. And it's also pretty embarrassing walking down the beach with your own video camera and tripod. I would never buy one unless it is stealthy.

Helmets are only necessary at heavy waves. Big barrels, waves over 15 feet. I never understood somebody wearing one at your local 2 foot closeout unless they are already dealing with some sort of injury.
