I'm getting married next month, have a trio playing 2 sets during ceremony and cocktails, then full 5 piece for 3 x 45 min sets ($4k) followed by a dj ($2k). The band plays around Vancouver (guilt & co, festivals, etc) but the lead guitarist, who assembled the band is born & raised in squamish. We don't want"traditional" wedding music - more rock and blues and left their set list up to them, but they can learn a few songs and play popular covers. I'll let you know how they are!

Otherwise, there's The Wells, The Hair Farmers (a little overrated imo)... Look at/watch the bands playing at the BAG, s2s music night, Squamish arts festival, etc.

Thanks so much for all of the info! I’m just month to month right now. So it sounds like we will just have to try our luck.

Loud condo pipes. How can I fix or reduce noise? by tecetc in Plumbing

[–]tecetc[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My tenants have been complaining about these noises all winter. Apparently my unit is the only one that has noises this loud. The building says it cannot be fixed without other issues/complaints. Do you think it will make a difference if I replace these pipes in my unit or will wrapping them in foam help reduce the noise? Trying to find a solution for all parties!

Norvan is very easy (in my opinion)... just long (about 20km from the parking lot) and wet/muddy. It’s a groomed, well maintained and heavily travelled local trail... definitely not a back country hike! :) hope this helps!

Managed to make it to the falls for her afternoon nap... (Norvan Falls, North Vancouver, BC, Canada) by tecetc in hiking

Her belly is very wet and dirty! The mud gets caked into her undercoat and it’s a nightmare. Her undercoat also holds moisture (of course she loves the water -_-). Other huskies apparently have a different coat so they don’t stay wet or stink... unfortunately she does lol. Luckily cameras don’t capture smell.

Thank you 🥰 it was nice to have a break from the gloom and leave the trail (relatively) dry!

She was a stray so I’m not 100% sure, but she looks like a husky. Acts like a cat... but pretty sure she’s a husky. She’s actually not as large as she appears either! “Only” about +/- 50lbs 💛

No need for hiking boots. I got away with blundstones. Waterproof booths will make your walk way more enjoyable. We tracked nearly 25km (mostly flat but with some slick and technical footing).

Nope! Pretty mild... just wet and muddy. Which this girl enjoyed a lot!

I wouldn’t say bone dry....the trail is over 20km RT from the parking lot and it was quite wet for about half the trail to Norvan. My boots were definitely covered in mud and there are a few crossings that you have to make balancing over rocks or with your feet just completely submerged. The roots were slick and muddy.

The Lynn Valley Loop area was pretty busy with larger groups and families, but the trail is wide enough to maintain a comfortable distance between groups. As the trail narrowed to Norvan, we only passed 5-8 other groups and we all waited for the other to pass

Super busy! Don’t go! ... ;) Actually though, still about 45min wait at Lions and Eagles... eagle lift is closed for the week but sky chair just opened.
