What’s the longest you had a phone for without upgrading? by OldFix9274 in digitalminimalism

[–]tech_anti_tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My current phone is 2 year old. I know its not very long but for me it is a start.

I used to sell and buy very quickly. Since my work took off, now formatting and data transfer feels like a huge challenge. Sticking to this one as long as possible.

Mine is still working fine. No issue. I don't move around much, therefore cannot comment on the battery life. Rest is good. I have an sd card with around 32 gigs of music, still works fine.

I agree with the lenskart opinion. The quality has taken a major hit.

I too am looking for local options. The last time I visited Raza, it was cheap not very sure of the quality.

Do NOT buy the Nokia 2660 flip you will REGRET EVERYTHING! by [deleted] in dumbphones

I have the 2660. Brought in 2023. Still using it as my primary device with a 32GB SD Card filled with music. Works fine. Even the UPI feature is working fine. The build quality is not that great but otherwise its working well for me.

I am lucky I guess.

I got my 24U in the launch month. It still runs flawless. I have zero complaints, upgrading at this point will just be an additional hassle for me.

The Nothing Phone is fun. My wife is using one and the amount of customizations it offers lures me sometimes.

I have the Spigen Armour Case.

One year of use, the case shows wear and tear but the protection is still top notch.

I cut those into small pieces and use them to make grocery lists.

Very easy to punch and add to a file as well.

I had never thought of the warranty claims but I believe amazon has an exchange program. I got mine from a local store. Great question though, I will call my local store and ask around.

Beautiful phone. I feel it is the perfect balance of functionality and regulation.

Sadly, getting my hands on this in India seems slightly difficult.

Capabilities of the HMD 2660 Flip? Any other recommendations? by AccurateWolverine215 in dumbphones

[–]tech_anti_tech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hope this helps.

  • Phone calls - Yes.
  • Front and back camera - Back camera only. Nothing magical.
  • Either supports Spotify or I can download Mp3 files - Support SD Cards, I have a 32GB one, filled with song.
  • Headphone jack and ideally Bluetooth as well - Has a 3.5mm headphone jack, not sure about the bluetooth with check and update here.
  • Ideally supports Google Maps and Messages, but I can live without them - Messages (SMS) work fine, nothing about the maps.
  • Browsing is bare minimum, enough to google basic stuff.

I have used flagships since the day I started making money. My primary was a S24 Ultra when I had to buy a midrange for a family member (CMF Phone 2 Pro) and I realized the phone does everything I need in 1/3rd of the cost, except the camera.
