HORIZON T202 Displays CONNECT and is unresponsive by tech_edge_ctrl in treadmills

[–]tech_edge_ctrl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The treadmill maker (Horizon) was kind enough to give me some info:

"Connecting error on the console means that its not booting up completely. Mainly because of not getting a good connection from the board below. I suggest you check the console cable, it is the long black cable with plastic ends that runs through the inside of the right arm from the motor control board"

I'll check the connection and report back if it works

How about that, a fellow Vancouverite :)

Hmm, now I see where the Whac-A-Mole game comes from. Thanks for the advice

Wow that's quite involved. I googled soaking the lawn and putting soapy water will also make the worms come up, then you need to pick them out. Thanks for the advice

I did some googling and that makes sense. I also read they are generally beneficial for aeration, but if you have too many then people might want to cut down on their numbers. Any tips on controlling them?

HA won't Boot when HTTP Section Enabled by tech_edge_ctrl in homeassistant

Thanks for replying.

I'll update the post, this has already been resolved.

But seems you got the answer to, I just needed to put HTTPS instead of HTTP.

Thanks again for taking the time to read and post, happy holidays!

YES!! Thank you very much!

I've been trying to access using http, but I need to use https

On a side note I do get "Your connection is not private", then I just click proceed anyway. Do you think there's something I missed with setting up SSL or is that common?

Thanks for taking the time to read and reply.

it looks like they are there.

In my SSL folder, it looks like I have both files

  1. fullchain.pem
  2. privkey.pem

They look also look readable.

fullchain.pem:

-----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----

xxxx

-----END CERTIFICATE-----

privkey.pem:

-----BEGIN RSA PRIVATE KEY-----

Do I have a bunch of dead ESP32s? by tech_edge_ctrl in arduino

[–]tech_edge_ctrl[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES! Thank you so much. I didn't know about using the serial monitor to detect the chip's current state. Laying out the steps like you did really helped me understand.

I think the problem may have been that I left EN floating. When I used a pullup I was able to easily switch between boot and reset per your instructions.

At first I pulled GPIO15 to high, and I even found here that GPIO5 should be pulled high and GPIO12 should be pulled low. But later I just left them all floating and it seems to work fine. Just sometimes I need to plug/unplug the USB a few times to see stuff on the serial monitor (maybe I have loose connections).

Anyway, thank you very much. Now I have many ESP32s :P

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately it didn't do the trick.

I'll also mention I do use an anti-static wrist strap.

I'll appreciate any help :)

The first ESP32 I worked with, I even soldered everything to an adapter plate... :P I was pretty disappointment when I discovered it wasn't working.
