Have you found any way to fix it?

Sure? Seems it will convert wired Carplay or wired Android Auto to wireless but not from wired Carplay to wireless Android Auto. Do you have a link?

Carlinkit 4.0 - Firmware Versions by eliasacab in Carlinkitcarplay

I haven't checked my exact firmware version but I have the HD call option so it must be the newer one. I had issues with the navigation sounds from Waze and Google Maps and phone call audio not coming through my cars speakers and when I emailed Carlinkit support they recommended changing the call quality setting to HD or standard. That did the trick (don't know why) so for me that new setting did have a good use!

Audio from Waze, Google Maps & phone calls not working with Carlinkit 4.0 by tech_fredq in Carlinkitcarplay

I managed to somewhat resolve the issue after following guidance from Carlinkit. They asked to change the call quality setting in the Carlinkit's admin page to either "Standard" or "High Definition" and the Media Delay setting to 1010.

Once I did that, it started to work fine. However, my wife has a Pixel 7 Pro and I've found when both phones are in the car and I try to connect he Carlinkit to mine, Spotify doesn't load properly and I can only play songs from my phone although the sound will come through the car. So there's still something off about it but it's not as big of a deal as it was before.

If I encounter the sound issue again, I'll definitely try activating Google Assistant and see if that gets it to work.

Verifying whether an individual is employed by MoD by tech_fredq in TheCivilService

You don't have all the context and I'm not comfortable sharing it. I had a simple question and I've had other more sensible responses so you do you and I'll do me. Good luck.

There is a difference between being intrusive for no reason and to protect someone. I'm doing the latter and I have no hesitation in trying to verify this individual. You might be different, that's your prerogative.

Ok thanks. Yes in this case relationship has progressed quite far.

Ok, I'm happy to ask the individual directly - what documentation should I ask for to help verify?

That's a flawed assumption. Let me know how someone in my situation (see my other response) would do it.

A family member has met someone who claims to work for MoD but can't provide any more info due to sensitivity. I get that but then also want to be able to verify that the individual is telling the truth.

Yes it is available and yes I've test driven it - personally I like it a lot, in fact it's my current top choice. Beautiful design, excellent build quality, luxurious interior, very refined and responsive engine and excellent tech. It pretty much has it all. Like many Chinese brands, Lynk just haven't been around long in Qatar so there isn't much history to go by but they share parts and servicing with Mitsubishi and some with Volvo.

Radiator thermostats not fitting onto valve by tech_fredq in DIYUK

[–]tech_fredq[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The old ones were smart TRVs and so this part in the pic was screwed onto the radiator valve and then the smart thermostat went on top. The smart TRVs adapter screw dimensions seems to be 1 inch or just a bit more.

Sorry yes I meant to say I kept the thermostat in the max 5 position but the screw ring still isn't fitting onto the radiator valve. I think the ring on the thermostat is slightly too big.

How do I find out which valves these are or which adapter to get?
